5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!
I really liked Neverland, the album which came out a year before Seven. It quickly became one of my favorite albums. So, when folks who got their copy before me said this one was better, I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they were right. This is an all around good album. Great guitar, great singing, great songs, and it all comes together to...

1.0 out of 5 stars What a disappointment!
I was SO looking forward to hearing this CD...what a letdown. I urge TRUE NR fans to skip this one. It has really tainted my view of the band. Where are the hooks? Where's the energy? It's all gone. It sounds like a weak band doing a bad Night Ranger impersonation. My favorite band is now slipping on my scale. AUGH!

4.0 out of 5 stars Another AOR Classic!, November 25, 1998

The Bay Area Boys ARE back! This new album is a good mix of the sound that made the band big in the 80's, along with a touch of the sound that made 1997's 'Neverland' so different. A must for any NR fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST NIGHT RANGER EVER!!!, February 13, 2004

Night Ranger's "SEVEN" rocks! This is absolutely the best Night Ranger of all time. They just keep getting better. I've been a fan since '83...seen them in concert many times. The music is pure NR all the way through but has matured a bit. I have enjoyed listening to their music evolve through the years and this one is no exception, from the rock-blasting "Sign of the Times" all the way to the melodic "Revelation". But be warned, this CD is for die-hard Night Ranger fans only.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's okey! - but is there different versions?, March 1, 2002
This review is from: Seven (Audio CD)
Jack Blades is a songwriter with a great sense for melodies which is most recognized in songs like "Sign of the times", "Mother mayhem", "Soul survivor" and "Peace sign". This album is probably not their best but it sounds like you'd expect Night Ranger to sound, and it's a bit Damn Yankees-like. Sometimes it's close to the 80's and sometimes they try to capture a more up-to-date-sound which I personally could do without.

One thing that puzzles me is that track number 5 "Kong" isn't included (on my copy) although the title and the lyrics are, which makes the songorder a mess. On my copy there's another song (track numer 8) probably called "Crazy world" or something like that (feel free to mail me about this).

Anyway, if you like melodic (hard) rock you wouldn't be disappointed. The more I listen to this record the more I like it.

I've been a fan since '83 (nearly 20 years!) From "Sign of the Times" to "Revelation", this is a CD of pure Night Ranger music at its best. If you've enjoyed them in the past, you've got to have this CD. If you're not familiar with Night Ranger, this is your chance to spend some quality time with Kelly, Jack, Jeff, Brad, and Fitz, the best band of the 80's, 90's and 00's!

4.0 out of 5 stars VERY GOOD!, December 6, 1999
This review is from: Seven (Audio CD)
Free and uncopromising, Night Ranger gave us a fantastic recording, mayber their best till now. The songs are full of fun and good rock'n roll, the lyrics are good-humored. I missed Jeff Watson compositions in this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Second studio release of the 90's, November 25, 1998
By
This review is from: Seven (Audio CD)
Seven marks the second effort for the boys of Night Ranger in the 90's. Though this 1998 release isn't quite as good as 1997's Neverland, the band still very much stays to their roots.

"Soul Survivor" is an instant favorite. Many of the other tracks will have you hitting repeat on your CD player as well.

Another Night Ranger/80's metal must have.

Steve

4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent CD from an 80s bands still worth listening to., July 15, 1998
This review is from: Seven (Audio CD)
I didn't know exactly what to expect when I got this disc. I was hoping for something a bit heavier but once I had listened to it I realized it was really well crafted. The songs all have a great hook to them. The lyrics are nothing spectacular but they are fun - something that is missing from quite a bit of today's music.

There are some slower songs on the disc that I don't care for; that's not what Night Ranger is best at. But usually the slow songs have more success than the heavier stuff.

Highlights include Panic in Jane, Revelation, Peace Sign, Sign of the Times and Sea of Love.

Overall, it's worth the money to get a cd that is fun to listen to that you can sing along with as you drive down the road or work around the house.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let'em Run, February 10, 2001
This review is from: Seven (Audio CD)
I love Night Ranger all the way through Dawn Patrol to Seven the latest release in 1998.

It is a bit different from Dawn Patrol and Midnight Madness edge but that doesn't mean the album is not good. No, listen carefully. Unlike 80s they didn't get the respect they deserve. But their excellent songwriting which make the rock fun and give positive energy for us to live on is unfaltered.

If you love 80s Night Ranger start from the fifth track Kong. It is really excellent track which might have come from 1985. And next try Don't Ask Me Why is a classic Night Ranger style ballad.

Ok, now let's venture into Night Ranger's fresh appeal. Peace Sign and Revelation are the track recommendable if you have already enjoyed classic style Night Ranger tracks. You will end up liking the whole work and truly appreciate the band.

If you like the whole album let's find out what the members are doing lately. Jeff Watson(Around The Sun), Brad Gillis(Alligator) made great solo albums. And Kelly Keagy who made the band's biggest hit Sister Christian will follow suit supported by Jim Peterik formerly Survivor their archrival during 80s.

Night Ranger music is still alive so music fans just let them run.
