About the Author
Thomas N. Davidson served over 27 years as a law enforcement practitioner with the Indiana State Police Department. Mr. Davidson was a security planner for the Tenth Pan American Games held in Indianapolis, an advisor to the State Police Executive Staff, and is an experienced hostage/crisis negotiator. He served as the Department’s commander of the hostage/crisis negotiator team units and is the author of Hostage Crisis Critical Incident Manual, a guide for police response to critical incidents. Mr. Davidson is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He is a practicing attorney and holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Indiana University School of Law–Indianapolis and undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Management. Mr. Davidson is an adjunct faculty member with Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, Indiana Wesleyan University, The University of Indianapolis and Concordia University. He is a certified police Master Instructor. Mr. Davidson has training and experience in forensic science, explosive ordnance disposal and criminal investigation.
