Seven weeks to naturally slim eating habits.,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Seven Secrets of Slim People (Mass Market Paperback)
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a real solution to struggles with their weight. Whether you are slim and constanly fighting to stay there, or morbidly obese, this is a viable solution. Reading "7 Secrets", you'll learn how and why you'll get fatter by dieting. My 'naturally slim' friends have verified that the 'secrets' revealed in the book are how they actually eat and percieve food. What I especially like about this book is the work sheets for each day of the seven weeks of the program. Worksheets make it very easy to transform the "7 Secrets" into your everyday life. I read the book cover to cover before beginning the worksheets and I recommend that you do too. The difference it is making in my life and my relationship with food is amazing. I have learned to eat food that makes me feel good, as a result, I am eating healthier and far less. I have learned to recognize when a food makes me feel bad so I can avoid it. It is psychologically freeing to be able to eat whatever you want, whenever you want it. I look and feel better than I have in 9 years and the weight is falling off effortlessly. The best part is, there is no dieting. You just have to be willing to relearn everything you thought about eating.

STOP DIETING FOREVER...,
By Steven (Midwest- USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Seven Secrets of Slim People (Mass Market Paperback)
The concept of stopping dieting to lose weight has interested me since reading several books by Geneen Roth. It wasn't until I happened onto this book that I once again considered that diets have made me fat. Being at my all time heaviest weight, the thought of going on another diet seemed dreadful. I have read nearly every diet concept that has been out in the past 15 years and tried most. They were all somewhat successful for a while. I would lose weight, get more comfortable with myself and return right back to eating the forbidden foods I liked. I purchased 'The 7 Secrets of Slim People' and read it in one evening. It is very well written & enjoyable to read. The book was amazing and I finally feel free in life to enjoy food and stop when I am satisfied. The author acknowledges all aspects of food, physical, emotional and pleasure. This is the first book I have ever read on eating that actually encourages you to enjoy eating. I have stopped dieting, learned to eat between hungry and satisfied as taught in this book and lost 25 lbs in just two weeks. I have eaten all the foods I love. The concepts in this book make sense. BUY THIS BOOK! It will change you life and free you from the torture of dieting. STOP DIETING AND HARMING YOURSELF.

Finally!--the answer right under your nose...,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Seven Secrets of Slim People (Mass Market Paperback)
This book has helped me take back my life. I used to spend my days counting calories and fat grams, all the while suppressing my hunger with bottles and bottles of diet soda, until I bought this book, (actually thinking it was another set of dieting secrets). But boy, did it knock a lot of sense back into me! I knew "the experts" would always come up with more "diet revolutions"...cut the carbs, trap the fat with this pill, etc., but this book taught me why no matter how much willpower I thought I had, I would not be healthy, slim, and happy(yes, very important!) unless I ate NATURALLY...the way we're meant to eat. I'd always wondered how some people ate what they liked, as much as they wanted and still stayed so slim. No, not bulimia...they simply ate as their bodies (not their minds) saw fit. And this is what the book teaches you how to do. Each page is easy to understand and no longer than about a paragraph. No anecdotes, no calorie charts, no meal plans. You let nature(your body) tell you what to eat and how much. In addition, this book helped me climb out of the pit of waif-like body ideals. I've read this book twice--it's that easy!--and was already feeling better and slimmer in the first week off diet. One weak point about this book, though, is that it doesn't address well enough the issue of getting in all of one's daily nutrition with the natural way of eating. You might take a vitamin supplement to be on the safe side. Other than that, I highly recommend this book to chronic/potential dieters.
