5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource for parents with children with enuresis
Nighttime Dryness is an excellent book on bedwetting. It is concise, easy to read and understand, and fills a void. It is very systematic in the information given to parents as to how to deal with the problem of bedwetting and it is very logical and reasonable. 1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of money if you are not using an alarm!!!
Unless you are working with an alarm right now, or planning to in the very near future, don't bother with this book. It has nothing else to offer. It's title should be "How to use a Bedwetting Alarm."

We are not ready for an alarm yet and I did not get ANY other useful information from this book. Try Waking Up Dry instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource for parents with children with enuresis, December 19, 2003
This review is from: Seven Steps to Nighttime Dryness: A Practical Guide for Parents of Children with Bedwetting (Paperback)
Nighttime Dryness is an excellent book on bedwetting. It is concise, easy to read and understand, and fills a void. It is very systematic in the information given to parents as to how to deal with the problem of bedwetting and it is very logical and reasonable. It addresses the various methods for the treatment of bedwetting and clearly states that the use of the alarm is not only effective and curative but is also much cheaper than medication. It addresses many of the questions that parents have about the problem and gives very straight forward information as to what one can expect.
As a pediatrician I will definitely recommend this book to all my patients who have children with bedwetting problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Book that changed our lives!, August 29, 2005
This review is from: Seven Steps to Nighttime Dryness: A Practical Guide for Parents of Children with Bedwetting (Paperback)

I read this book cover to cover in one sitting because it was so applicable to my family. My two children, ages 7 and 9 were bedwetters, and I had a lot of unanswered questions-such as when you should worry, what I should do, the best treatments available, and why it is so common. These and many other questions were answered by reading this book.

I purchased a bedwetting alarm (after reading the helpful comparison chart, I knew which one to buy), and used it on both of my children. I am so happy to see that they both are now dry at night and are free to spend the night away from home. No more pull-ups at my house. I highly recommend this book to any parents of children with bedwetting.

After hearing my daughter tell her friend that she wasn't allowed on sleep overs, I knew it was time to do something about her bedwetting. She made up that story to escape the embarrassment of wetting at her friend's house. I felt like I had failed her as a mother. We are now in treatment following Renee's advice. What a joy it is to see my daughter's new found confidence. Thank you Renee!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Help for bedwetting, January 7, 2004

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner I see children who are having difficulty with bedwetting. I would definitely recommend this book for the parents, especially if they planned on using an alarm. The question and answer section is a great resource for parents including those that are "special cases". The author presents the information in an easily understandable method. A really good resource for parents.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book!, January 9, 2007

This book is very informative. Every question I had about bedwetting was answered in this book. I would recommend this to anyone that has a child with a bedwetting problem. I had a company come to my house and tell me they could fix the bedwetting issue, if I gave them $2,000 dollars. This is a rip off, and this book tells you about that and any other misconceptions you may have about bedwetting. Once again an excellent book that will have your child dry in no time.

5.0 out of 5 stars You wont wast your money with this one..........., March 30, 2007
This review is from: Seven Steps to Nighttime Dryness: A Practical Guide for Parents of Children with Bedwetting (Paperback)
My 12 year old was wetting the bed when we bought this book. It explains so much! I made my son read it, and it made him feel better about his problem. He stoped feeling like he was a bad person for wetting the bed. We got an alarm and he no longer is a bed wetter! This book was a big help during that time. It was like having a bed wetting expert living with us while we worked though the problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Should have bought it sooner!, November 27, 2006

We had a difficult time getting our little Boo to stop wetting the bed, even though he had not had accidents during the day for several years. That's right...years. How was it that he would go dry all day only to have accidents at night??? So frustrating! We bought this book and our little Boo has gone dry at night now for over two weeks! If you are feeling the same level of frustration that we were, give it a shot. Definitely worth the money.

Our 7-year-old was wetting multiple times every night. We had tried the alarm in the past, but always gave up after weeks of exhaustion. This book had some common-sense ideas and we celebrated 5 dry nights in a row today! Glad we followed the advice and finally stuck with it ... it has been 11 weeks of effort, but will be worth it for his self-esteem and our sleep pattern!

I got this book along with a Malem alarm. Our 6 year old stopped wetting within 3 weeks and has only had once accident in the 2 month since that. The book does give helpful tips like peeing before bed twice really does help but parents "lifting" to pee doesn't.
