Beth Curtis adored Connor Riordan, her brother's best friend. She had been secretly in love with him for years. Once, Connor and Beth give into an unexpected moment of passion. Beth was sure that this was just the beginning of her and Connor's new relationship, so she couldn't have been more stunned or hurt when Connor goes out of his way to avoid her after that night.

Seven years have past, years where hurt feelings and bitterness have caused Beth to avoid Connor. Now a high powered entertainment attorney, Beth is home for her bother's wedding, and Connor is his best man. Forced to spend time with the man who hurt her so badly is not Beth's idea of a good time. Connor knows that he made a mistake seven years ago. He's spent years trying to get Beth to give him a chance to apologize, but she's made it impossible by not even spending a moment alone with him.

Now they are forced to share a house while Beth's brother is on his honeymoon. Connor is determined to use this opportunity to get Beth to forgive him so that they can return to the friendship they had before that night. However, Connor never expects to find that the passion between them is stronger than ever. He quickly discovers that friendship is the last thing he wants from Beth. I have to say that I am loving Heidi Betts! She is quickly becoming my favorite Silhouette author. Seven Year Seduction is the perfect quick romance fix! Both Connor and Beth have to face the past before they can work on the future, giving the story a great deal of emotional depth. The passion that burns between them makes for scintillating love scenes. Readers of contemporary romance will most definitely find themselves satisfied by Seven Year Seduction.

Connor made a mistake by not contacting Beth after their night together. Beth was angry, miserable for years because of it and the consequences of that night. She comes home for her brother's wedding after avoiding coming home because didn't want to run into Connor. Connor is all hot for her right off the bat - even though he's attending the wedding with his girlfriend of 6 years, live-in for 3. Now that "the one" is back he doesn't seem to have any problem getting over the girlfriend super quick - avoids talking to her. That came off very jerk-like besides his past sins.

I normally like Heidi's books but this one didn't do it for me.
