Editorial Reviews

Product Description
This Australian pressing features 20 total tracks including 5 new tracks plus 2 remixes as well as all the hits of the past 7 years including 'Don't Sop', '9 PM (Till I Come)' & 'Let U Go'. After over 11 years and 5 ATB albums, the last 4 of which all made it into the German Top 10, Andre Tanneberger has become a leading musician and producer and not just on the dance scene. The International stars Heather Nova, Moby, William Orbit and Michael Cretu from Enigma have all called on his services. He also performed with Bryan Adams at Rock In Rio, supplied remixes for pop legends like A-Ha and has traveled all over the world to play as a DJ. 5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely one for the ATB fan, new or old., October 27, 2005
By Doctor Trance (MA, United States) - See all my reviews
(TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
You get 5 brand new tracks, 1 remake or an old track, and 14 singles which ATB has released over the past 7 years. Amazon is selling a few imports and this one, which appears to be the single disc US version. I have the original German release on Kontor, which comes with a Bonus DVD that has all his videos right up to the two new singles from this album, Believe in Me and Humanity. You also get photos, interviews, and the making of the Believe in Me video, and an alternate Belive in Me video.

Most of the videos were on his DVD he released in 2004, except Long Way Home, which you could only get on that CD single; Marrakech, which was on the import No Silence limited edition set; and Ecstasy, which was on the US No Silence. If you buy the import, you won't get the DVD to play on your normal player, but maybe in your computer. If you are looking for a complete set of videos, and can play this PAL formatted DVD, this makes the import more attractive. If you already have most of his videos and don't have to have Marrackech or Believe in Me videos, you can just stick with this US copy, which is basically a best of, with some new tracks and edits.

The first of the new singles is Believe in Me, sung by 4 Strings member Jan Loechel. It's a nice club/dance track, but I prefer the peppier versions on the CD single over the album version. The new Tiff Lacey voiced track, Humanity, is excellent, and while I haven't heard the remixes yet, the album version works just fine. It's a breakbeat/trance blend that Tiff sings her heart out on. Jan Leochel also sings an updated version of Let U Go, which I liked. It's a slower paced version that refreshes the song nicely.

The 14 "best of" tracks are all his single releases, and they are all either radio edits or album versions. The radio edit of the new vocal remix of In Love With the DJ hasn't been on any other album, and the Here With Me radio edit was an internet exclusive, so even in the collection of past hits, there are some new perks.

Over the past 7 years, no trance DJ/producer has been more prolific in releasing high quality vocal trance, instrumental trance, artist albums, and mix CD's than ATB. If you are a new fan, I would highly recommend this, just don't pass up some of is albums, thinking you are getting everything here, because you will miss out on a lot of great music (like one of my favorite instrumental trance tunes of all time -- Mysterious Skies off No Silence). Only his radio play releases are here. If you are a regular ATB fan, I am sure you are going to purchase this anyway!

4.0 out of 5 stars Seven Years, December 20, 2005
I bought ATB's Seven Years basically because I knew 9:00 (Til I Come) and had heard his name as being highly regarded in the trance/dance genre. So I didn't know a lot about him going in.

After a couple listens though, I have to say, this is a really good CD. It's very upbeat and the beats are top notch. The textures to his music create a very warm sound. It doesn't sound too synthesized. During one of the slower songs, it kind of reminded me of Robert Miles' classic "The Children".

Another thing is that this music has been recorded over 7 years since 1998, but you really wouldn't know it. If you told me this was all brand new music, I'd probably believe it. ATB's music has definitely aged nicely over these last 7 years. Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Andre Tanneberger collection, October 17, 2005
By B. Son (Denver) - See all my reviews
Here you have all his hit songs from the past Seven Years (1998-2005) under his name ATB. The album starts off in the year 2005, and moves backwards into his productions. (For me it would have been better to have it start from the first album, as you can hear the difference in sound and production from his first song and last.)

From his first hit single, 9PM, which was named after which time it was when he completed it, to 6 brand-new tracks made just for this collection, this is perfect for anyone wanting to get a complete ATB album or for any ATB fan.

From Movin' Melodies (9PM, Don't Stop), Killer) to Two Worlds (The Summer, The Fields of Love) you hear ATB's signature guitar sounds.

Once you venture into his album Dedicated, you don't hear that sound anymore but you still get ATB as he evolves (Let U Go, Hold You, You're Not Alone) as he features Roberta Carter Harrison as the vocals on the album.

ATB really showcases his music in Addicted to Music (I Don't Wanna Stop, Long Way Home, In Love With the D.J.) and shows a more mature, more developed style of music. He again works with Roberta to make some beautiful tracks.

We then get to his most recent album, No Silence, where he shows a truly versatile side with variedsong arrangements and styles. With the first single featured in the movie, Mindhunters, Marrakech finally features a new vocalist, Tiff Lacey (Oakenfold, Conjure One). As well as two other tracks, Ecstasy and Here With Me.

The rest are 5 new tracks and a 2005 re-work of "Let U Go", sung by the same vocalist on the third track as well as guitar melodies... (Roberta does a better job in my opinion, though the slower-pace and guitars are pretty sweet.)

All tracks are edited for time and some are different from their original album appearences. You'll find edits that have never made any singles.

With 6 brand-new tracks and edited tracks, this is definitely something for any ATB fan to get.

Even if you're not a ATB album collector, it is definitely something to get your hands on if you have never experienced the sounds of ATB.
