Engaging story of the end times.
James
Now I'm going to have to read it again, because I was in such a hurry to get to the next. "happening" that I'm sure I've missed something.

I would given this book a higher rating but it was the worst proofread book I have ever read.

I remember sitting in Sunday School in the mid 80's watching Christian movies about the end-of-times. Horrified about the idea of missing the rapture, we all vowed to do whatever it took to insure we were among the chosen. In the years since that time, I've always done my best to avoid any deep discussion about Revelations as it all seemed a bit too intense for me.

I recently read a copy of Seven Years Until Eternity, The Rise of the Antichrist by Benjamin L Reynolds and at first I felt like I was 12 years old and watching those movies again. The first half has a very textbook type style - as if it's a retelling of an actual historical event. It was a bit dry but highly consistent with scripture. Around the half way point of the book the characters became more multi-dimentional and the dialogue increased the pace. I don't know if it was the subject matter or the style of writing, but it took time for me to warm up to the story and really enjoy myself. Once I found myself involved, I stayed up late into the night reading Seven Years Until Eternity. In fact, now that I finished the novel, I find myself drawn back to scripture reading the Book of Daniel and Revelations.

Benjamin Reynold's description of heaven was over the top fantastic; it has stuck with me in the days since I finished his novel. I found his interpretation of the events surrounding the end-of-times creative and thought provoking. I'm definitely glad I spent the time reading his new novel.

While I have differing views regarding the End Time time line, the author provides extensive Biblical references supporting his viewpoint. This should provoke much thought and prayer by all,not divisiveness. He provides, over and over the most important tenet of Christian faith : Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, there is no salvation without accepting him as Savior and Lord, that his shed blood and resurrection was required by a holy God to reconcile fallen humanity to God. We should be ready at all times for his return whether he takes up believers pre-, mid-, or post- Tribulation. Only the Father knows the time of his returning. Maranatha, come Lord Jesus.

Awhile back I was offered by Mr. Reynolds to read/review his book, Seven Years Until Eternity: The Rise of the Antichrist I am so glad that I had the chance to do so!

It took a bit of time for me to get into the story but once I did, I was hooked! Mr. Reynolds' unique perspective of end times is captivating and enlightening, as well as somewhat edge-of-your-seat scary. I found it disturbing that so many of the events described in the beginning of this story are very close to events unfolding in today's world.

The characters are realistic, the story well written and through the author's flare for description and story telling, I felt as if I was actually present watching Heaven and Hell battle for our souls.

This story moved me - heart and soul! I felt God's love and mercy showering down upon me (really!) as I read through the pages and I came away from this book feeling very blessed.

As I've promised to be honest in my reviews, one thing I found was the the story had a few typos and grammatical issues present throughout the book. With other books, I have found this at times to hinder my experience in reading a book but as as motivating as Seven Years Until Eternity is, this issue did not hinder my reading experience one bit.

I found Seven Years Until Eternity: The Rise of the Antichristto be a riveting story, uniquely refreshing and deeply moving. Well worth reading and experiencing!

This one wasn't as engaging as I would have liked. Big chunks of the story seemed more like a news account than an actual story. There were many grammatical and spelling errors, some of which were distracting enough to take me out of the story.
It concentrated more on what was happening worldwide and not enough on many of the characters so that I really didn't connect with them. But it did get the message of salvation across, so for that I give it 3 stars.

I was given the opportunity to review this book and admittedly, it took some time for me to get through it. This is a fictionalized view of Revelations and it is a good story. It was more to the point than the Left Behind series. The part that I loved most about the book was that the corresponding scripture is notated so you can check it out for yourself. I think that alone makes it worth reading as each step is notated against Revelations as he weaves his story with the characters in the book.
