A book for everyone!, January 2, 2008
This review is from: The Seventh Chair (Paperback)
Ann Keffer's book is the kind of story we need in today's world. It is a story of differences working in harmony. What I liked best about the book was the rich, detailed language. Ms. Keffer does not talk down to children, and her book will increase the vocabularies of those who read it.
It is a charming book that has a serious message.

Great book for middle schoolers, November 10, 2007
This review is from: The Seventh Chair (Paperback)
Ann Keffer has written a delightful book, one that adults would enjoy, but it is aimed especially at students in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. She takes you to a school where the strangest things start to happen.
But Keffer's way with words makes it all seem so normal, even though it's not normal at all. Only 66 pages in length, the book has several characters and all of them are students and adults we can identify with. As for the characters, you find yourself hoping it all works out for them.
Keffer is simply an excellent writer. I promise -- reading this book is a joy. It will make you smile, make you laugh, and make you think. It's plenty fun. I hope that somehow the book will find its way to young students who deserve reading a book of this quality.

please write a sequel, September 29, 2007
This review is from: The Seventh Chair (Paperback)
At ninety years old i thoroughly enjoyed Ann Kefflers book 'The Seventh chair'. I bought several as gifts for my two great- great grandchildren. The book is for anyone with an imagination regardless of age. I certainly hope she writes a sequel. It is a five star book.

Great read for kids and adults alike!, September 26, 2007
This review is from: The Seventh Chair (Paperback)
This is a great book for upper elementary grades - boys especially. It starts off seeming a little difficult to read as the sentences in the beginning are long and complex, but if you can get your child to hang in there for the first couple of pages, they won't be able to put it down! I suggest reading the first chapter aloud to your child. Then watch as they read the rest on their own because they want to see what happens.
A wonderfully captivating fantasy with intriguing characters that ends with a moral lesson. How can you go wrong with that?!!

Great gift for grandchildren!, September 18, 2007
This review is from: The Seventh Chair (Paperback)
This story is a fun and easy read, grabbed my attention within the first few pages and held it engagingly to the end. Shades of mystery and intrigue plus plenty of action along the way. The characters are vivid and there's even a moral at the end. Great book to read to your younger grandchildren! The older ones may read it themselves. Delightful!
