Because I am insane, I decided to break down the actual costs of the paper towels that Amazon.com offers. It is hard to tell because of varying roll lengths, sheet sizes, and case quantities. In the end, I found them cheaper elsewhere, but if you are an Amazon loyalist and/ore like Subscribe & Save, you may be tempted to order them anyway. [Subscribe & Save discount shown in brackets.]

These paper towels are perfect. They are strong and don't tear. I love the three size sheets in one for the "right size job."

Pros:

- Fairly cheap.
- Environmentally friendly

Cons:

- Poor quality. I have gone through at least 50 rolls of these things and never once pulled a sheet off the roll without ripping it (unless I hold the perforation with one hand while ripping carefully with the other). These are not strong paper towels at all. For the price, I'm okay with that and will continue to purchase them, but make sure you're aware before ordering.

I was in the process of re-ordering toilet paper. We generally try to do the recycled products. I was curious if the brand we used was still at a good price.

I was frustrated that the # of sheets & length of the sheets were different so it was hard for me to do the comparison. I was about to build a spreadsheet to calculate the cost when I saw this review from a fellow Amazon shopper.

I feel relieved to know that I am not the only one that does this.

The paper towels are the same great quality but for some reason they shrunk the roll size down to about half of what it used to be making all the sheets half size sheets, so you get half the amount of towels for the same amount money as they used to charge for the larger rolls.

I like that these offer "half sheets". They are a generally good paper towel. They do not provide the super absorbancy of Bounty, but there are usually some sort of trade offs in a recycled product. If cutting down on deforestation matters to you, these are your choice.

Sheets are 5.4x11 inches, so 112 sheets per roll totals only 46.2 sq. ft. However, they were still a good value, especially on Subscribe and Save ($15.21). One sheet is great for a napkin or for cleaning up a small spill. Typical paper towel uses require 2 or 3 sheets. Towels have been strong enough, but I haven't done any serious scrubbing with wet towels, yet. They seem soft and absorbent. Package says they are "Whitened Without Chemicals Containing Chlorine" so they're better for the environment, to boot! Recommended for everyday uses every day. At Amazon's price of about $15 for 30 rolls, you can't go wrong!

The "perforations" are spaced for those nice little third sized sheets. However, the paper shreds everywhere EXCEPT the perforations. They are very light weight and useless unless you need a handful of shredded paper to soak up a little liquid.

As an eco-friendly person, I love Seventh Generation products in general and these paper towels are no exception. I really enjoy the pick-your-size paper towels so you can grab only what you need for the task at hand. It might sound weird, but I do miss the brown paper towels because they symbolized how unique this product was and everyone would immediately ask about them. But the white color does look cleaner and it's done without bleach so I won't complain. Buying these paper towels in bulk is the way to go - otherwise, they are quite pricey.

I see that some people have had issues with the quality. I, for one, have NOT. I have been using the towels for about a month now and think they are wonderful. Actually, they work better than the towels I had before these. As an extremely clumsy person who makes lots of messes, I can vouch for these towels!

I also love that I won't have to buy any more for a looooong time. I bought the toilet paper too! I definitely recommend.
