I did not start buying this diaper until my daughter had a minor procedure, after she turned 1. Before that, I (with much guilt and regret) used Pampers Cruisers, because they rarely leaked. For her older brother, I used Cruisers, too. But after realizing that the perfume and the dioxins used on the Cruisers could potentially affect my daughter, especially after her operation, I wanted to opt for a "safer" diaper. I found that the Seventh Generation diapers were the best ones as far as functionality (they hold up pretty well and prevent most leaks) and availability (they are in more stores than other natural/eco brands). My one big beef with this brand, however, is their price. They are expensive and ever since they changed the tab design, they give you fewer diapers in each size. That's why I am giving Seventh Generation 3 stars. I like them as a diaper but I don't like their pricetag. I also think it's very uncool of them to give you fewer diapers now that they improved their design.

I just bought a case seventh generation diapers and wipes for $55.00 dollars/free shipping @ diapers.com and Amazon is advertising them for $88 and maybe more for shipping. Mom's who need to save$$ go to diapers.com. The Seventh Generation Diapers are amazing and really the only thing that works on my babies sweet senstive little bottom. I also recommend A and D ointment for those bad rashes. The rest of the products are hype. These are the products that really work for sensitive bottoms. A&D Ointment, 4-Ounce (Pack of 2)

We love these diapers! I had to find chlorine-free because my son kept getting contact rashes from the usual store brand diapers. I finally tried these and the rash has been gone ever since! The only reason I took off a star is because I occasionally get a pack that leaks, it's like there's a seam that's not centered or something. We've been using them for about 18 months now and that's happened about 3 times. Other than that they usually don't leak at all and hold a LOT.
Edited to add 11/2/10: We started using these when our son was about 1 and they've been great from size 4 up. With a new little one on the way I asked the company for a sample of their newborn and stage 1 to try out on him and they sent some immediately! They were so quick to get back to me, just lovely customer service from Seventh Generation!

I love the 7th Generation diapers. They rock!! Never had a leak problem, fit has always been great, never a rash problem. I feel these diapers are much less "baggy" than the other brands. I highly recommend them and would not use any other brand! Only complaint I had was with Amazon; Even though Amazon says they have "2 day shipping, it took them over a week before they shipped the diapers!!! I can get them in 48 hours from [...]

Your baby deserves diapers w/o chlorine bleach, which when they sweat or get wet absorbs into their little bodies and poisons them. These diapers are awesome. I recommend getting a size larger. They are more absorbent that way...

My son has very sensitive skin.
So i have to be very carfull with all his products. i use to use pampers diapers and my son wore them for a few months until they changed the lining material of the cruiser Pampers. which gave my son an extreme allergic reaction to this entire bottom which spread to his torso. So i changed to an all organic brand like seven generation diapers. Which till this day i use. i will never go back to anything else even if its an emergency and there is nothing else i rather use a cloth. I highly recommend these for all babies. Soon my son will grow out of size 6 and will have to start to use seven generation Training pants! =)

Having used 7th Generation Diapers, I'm sure the Size 6 I ordered would have been terrific but what I needed was pull-ups and not diapers. Would love this size to come in pull-ups. However, whatever 7th Generation products I have used have been great!

Like others, I have faithfully bought many seventh generation diapers throughout my son's baby/toddlerhood. Now he's 19 months, and in size 6 diapers.. During the day, these diapers work well (even with a #2). However with a ten-hour nighttime, he leaks through even 2 of these doubled up, leaks through his onesie, pajamas, sheet, and mattress pad. The problem is that these diapers don't offer any coverage on the sides...there's just no absorbent material on the side of the diapers. So when my toddler goes at night, it leaks out the side and up to his neck.
The weight recommendation is also very wrong. Throughout using stages 1-6, we always have to use one size higher for maximum protection. Right now my son is only 30 pounds, which is below the 35 pound minimum weight suggestion on Size 6 Diapers. And they still are quite tight. My suggestion to 7th Generation is please make a nighttime diaper....if other companies can do it, so can you! It would be nice to have a semi-organic (remember the gel part is still not organic) night diaper so I don't have to change sheets every morning!

No diaper rashes! They cost the same as pampers, and don't smell as bad as the chlorinated diapers. Worth every penny.

I LOVED these diapers at first. I did a lot of research before my now 1 year old was born and I went with these. THey use to be good. No problems, what-so-ever. Not the "greenest" option but it is what I went with (we now cloth diaper for a few reasons). I noticed with the last few shipments I got, that the packaging changed. I knew it was coming....I heard rumors that the main guy who was all about the meaning behind seventh generation was "let go" that things would change. Well, it wasn't for the better. My daughter started to get a rash with the new packages and she NEVER had an issue before. Besides that, they run SO SMALL and she outgrew a size 6 before the age of 9 months, and my daughter now only weights 21 pounds at a year old. I do not like this company any more and these diapers are no good.
