4.0 out of 5 stars Great diapers, March 15, 2005

This review is from: Seventh Generation, Chlorine Free, Hypo-Allergenic Disposable Baby Diapers - Medium (12-18 lbs.) 38 Diapers (Health and Beauty)
We were looking for disposable diapers that were somewhat better for the environment and happened upon these. We really like the fact that they are chlorine-free since dioxins (by-products of bleaching) are harmful to our environment. However, warning: they do resemble paper bags. :) We're not sure about if the dioxins stay on the diapers and affect our baby but we figure we could do without the chemicals. We found these diapers to be very absorbent and had very few leaks since we started using them 1.5 months ago. The only cons: they're a bit more bulky than conventional brands & a bit more expensive . But, they do go on sale occasionally, so we stock up then. :)

I always use these diapers overnight or for long trips because they leak the least. They are a bit bulkier than other diapers but this doesn't matter under pajamas. They are sized larger than other diapers and my 25-pound child can wear the mediums.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great diapers, December 9, 2005

These are the only diapers I like to use for my daughter who is over a year old now. They fit well, seem comfy, have no leaks (usually), no diaper rash, no chemical odor and are relatively environmentally friendly.
A plus is also that they're sized generously and flexibly = you can get away with a size a bit too large or small without much trouble, which is good in a pinch.

I really like them better than any other diapers we've tried and just wish they were available more widely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Diapers, October 15, 2005

We wanted to use an environmentally friendly diaper but were concerned about price and quality. We have used the Seventh Generation diapers in newborn, small, and medium and we love them. We were given other diapers as gifts and samples and the Seventh Generations all perform equally well or better. They do not cost that much more and having them shipped directly to the house has been great. Our daughter has not had any diaper rash or allergies and we are happy that she is not being exposed to as many harmful substances. They seemed a bit bulky at first in comparison to the traditional diapers, but we got use to using them and the baby doesn't mind at all. I highly recommend them and we will continue to use them along with their wipes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Diapers I'm happy to buy, September 23, 2005
This review is from: Seventh Generation, Chlorine Free, Hypo-Allergenic Disposable Baby Diapers - Medium (12-18 lbs.) 38 Diapers (Health and Beauty)
My first preference is cloth; but for daycare we must pack disposables and these are my favorites. They are chlorine free which is better for baby's skin and better for our environment. They fit well and do not leak. The sizes seem to run a little large. I love seventh generation products and this one may be my favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars worth the extra few cents!!, July 27, 2005

I really like these diapers - they perform just as well as the other big name brands, plus I feel a little better about all the diapers we throw away every day since these are not quite as harsh on the environment. I recommend these to all my friends, even though they cost a few cents more per diaper. We've never had leaks, and I don't see those little gel bits on my baby's butt in the morning like I do using the other name brand diapers.

As another reviewer said, these are not pure white diapers. That's a good thing! If you pick diapers for the appearance, you have problems! --- It's what's inside them that counts!!! haha .... We've tried all sorts of diapers and these are no worse than anything else (absorbent, leak-free, and comfy for baby)- while having slightly less environmental impact.
My only complaint is that AMazon can't seem to ship these fast enough for me -- still waiting for our second order!

I have been using these diapers on my little girl since I found out about them at 3 months old. I LOVE them! I haven't had any leak problems like I had with other grocery/super store/name brands. LOVE THEM!

My daugther ( 4mo ) gets rashes with pampers, but not with these.
The look is funny, and I do not get more leaks than with the huggies. A bit expensive but I like the product
