Most of the reviews listed here on this product are from people who are either mistakenly reviewing the "chlorine-free" not the new "free and clear" designed diapers (which have only been available starting March 2011), have only experience with traditional brands (i.e. pampers, huggies, luvs, generic rather than this brand or other "green" brands), or "vine" reviews. For those who don't know, "vine" is an amazon program that gives free products in exchange for reviews. The only purpose of the "vine" program is to promote new products and market them to the public through "personal" reviews. It is all paid for by the sponsoring company to ensure products come into the market with ample reviews posted.

As a parent, it's hard for me to spend money based on the opinions of someone who has been compensated to give their opinions on a certain product (also someone who has no experience with that category of product - such as "green" diapers). Isn't everything better when it's free? I can think of many things I would've given a higher rating to if I wouldn't have had to spend so much of my money on them (think about how much happier you are with buying a less than quality product from the $1 store versus the regular store). I'm not saying "vine" reviewers are lying, but there is a skewed perception when it's not your money you're spending and I'm not willing to spend my hard earned dollars based on the opinion of someone who was compensated in any way, including with free products.

I am posting my review because I am a mother of a diapered baby, who has used this brand and other "green" brands for a long time, and I have used several packs of these new free and clear diapers. I am NOT a "vine" member, as you can see by my "Amazon verified purchase" label on my review.

We have been ordering Seventh generation diapers in every size since our twins were born. I have to say that they have always been fabulous. Most recently I went to get my shipment of size 6 on subscribe and save delivered to discover there was a newer version, the free and clear ones. I placed that order with no hesitation. I have to say they are a HUGE disappointment! They leak, badly. There is not as much absorbency with these at all and I am really bummed. I hope this is corrected. Honestly I am tempted to send them back they are so bad.

Hi Manya! My name is Tara and I work at Seventh Generation. I am sorry to hear about your experience with the new Free & Clear diapers. We normally don't hear leaking or absorbency complaints with our diapers. Do you think the Stage 6 diapers you ordered were larger than the old style diapers? I'm curious to learn more about your experience and see what we can do to help you out. Please give me a call 800-456-1191. I hope to hear from you!

My girl was allergic to many other brand of diapers since she was one month old, we've tried pampers, huggies and many others. This is the only brand that won't give her any allergy reaction. She never have leak problem with this diaper too, really like it.

I love these diapers. They are made mostly from wood pulp and they are so absorbent. They only thing I don't like is that they are packaged in plastic packaging. Other then that, these diapers are great!

I've been using 7th generation diapers exclusively for a year now. My newest case came from amazon with 0 indications on the outside of any product changes but apparently they're the new version. Inside I found:
1. characters on the diapers which I'd prefer not to have.
2. an entirely different (worse) fit. They're really loose around the leg and the tabs stick closer to the belly button which means that the diaper rotates more around her leg area.
3.a new (harder to use) tab design. You now have to unfold the tab before you can stick it and it's clumsier.

I could not believe that it wasn't even mentioned that they're substantially different, and that they're so much worse. We've had two blowouts in the last week and a half after not having any in months. Now my 13-month old has her first ever diaper rash and it's really severe. It's likely a coincidence but I have to wonder since the diapers do seem to be less absorbent. I'm looking for a new diaper company immediately.

M. Baab- This is not what we want to be hearing about our new diaper design. I'm sorry for your experience. Please contact our Customer Service team so that we can help you out with this. We are having a lot of luck with helping others who have had experiences similar to yours. Our Customer Service team really knows the in's and out's on our older style diaper vs our newest diaper. The new cut and tabs (that I am sorry you don't like) of the diaper style is likely causing some sizing issues with your little one, that I think we can help out with. I want you to know that we are here to help when/if you ever have issues with any of our products. Please contact us at 1-800-456-1191 or email us at info@seventhgeneration.com.

I switched to 7th Generation diapers about a year ago when Pampers introduced their Dry Max diapers, resulting in a severe diaper rash for my then four month old. He's now 17 months old.

When I heard that 7th Gen was coming out with a thinner diaper, I admit I was a little worried at first. Would my son get a diaper rash again? But when I tried them, I realized I had nothing to worry about. His skin is doing great, and they still hold up just as well as the older 7th Gen diapers did, even overnight.

I love these diapers. Between my Amazon Mom and Amazon Prime discounts, they're even more cost effective than buying local to me or even "store brand" diapers. I recommend them to all my friends.

I love these diapers!! They are chlorine free, so our twins have had very few diaper rashes. We have used them w/both babies for over 15 months. The price w/ship and save is also unbeatable. I love that the diapers are delivered to our door and we can adjust our order if needed. Thank you Seventh Generation and Amazon!!

These diapers have worked great for my 19 month old who has very sensitive skin. Other diapers like Huggies, Pampers, Pampers Sensitive Skin and Luvs have not done well for her, but these have never irritated her skin. Even the wipes are great.
