They are very absorbent and do not leak when worn for an extended period over night.

These diapers are great... good for the environment (i.e., no chlorine, recycled paper, etc.), good for my wallet (not expensive), & they do the job well!

My daughter has very sensitive skin and these are the ONLY diapers she doesn't react to.

There are so many "vine" reviews on these new free and clear diapers, which is a promotional program that is funded by companies to give free products to "vine" reviewers on Amazon so that the new items can have several reviews posted at the time of launch. As a parent, it's hard for me to trust opinions of those who have received the products for free. Isn't everything better when it's free? I can think of a lot of products that I would've rated higher if I hadn't had to spend so much money for them out of my pocket. How many negative reviews are given when the people writing them have been compensated with free products and the promise of more free products for writing the reviews? Just think about it. I'm not saying "vine" reviewers are lying, I'm just saying there is a skewed perception possibility. If I want truth, I find reviews by people who have paid their hard earned dollars so you can get an UNBIASED review - it's a bonus when the person reviewing has experience with the brand so they are aware of the changes and quality standards.

Well, today is your lucky day...
I AM a parent of diapered babies, I AM a long-time seventh generation product user, and I HAVE used a few packs of these free and clear diapers. I am NOT a "VINE" freebie reviewer - I put my pretty pennies to work to try these out and what follows is HONESTY, unbiased, pure and simple. Here are the pros & cons I found with these new "free and clear" diapers:

**It absorbs more because it has more SAP gel inside and less wood pulp, this is also why it is much thinner than previous versions. SAP is controversial with many parents in the diapering community, I'd suggest you research it to make up your own mind for your own child.

I wasn't too fond of 7G diapers when my baby girl was a newborn, but they are the only diapers I have used (including rump-a-rooz all in one cloth diapers) that do not give her marks on her legs and a rash on her groin and legs. My daughter has very sensitive skin, excema breakouts are common with use of the wrong product. I tried huggies naturals, pampered sensitive, the green baby diapers at ralphs, 365, earths best, mom to mom at vons and came back to 7Gs. Because of her wide hips, I do have to go up a size.

Is it just me or has anyone noticed that the quality of these diapers have gone downhill? They used to be thicker, fluffier and more durable which made them fit better. Now, Im assuming they are filling it with more SAP gel because it's maxi thin and not as durable. I've used cheaper store brands and they are better than this. Why did you have to change things 7th Generation?

I would NOT recommend and will probably switch to another brand.

Like other users my wife and I used these diapers from when our little just started out, we never had any problem with them until they changed. I am not sure if we were just use to compensating with the whatever problems there may have been with the other diapers, but I can confirm some of the problems that others have sited.

*You have to be careful with the tabs that stick to the diaper because they tear off pretty easily, probably out of the two packs we have gotten of these we have wasted 5 diapers from this problem.

*We have also had the problem of these diapers leaking now, and while I think some of it has to do with our daughter getting bigger. The part that has thinking it might not be the case is because the cheapo Target brand diapers don't leak through the night.

That being said I like the fact that these diapers are more environmentally friendly than others out there, but I still would like them to work well without have to wash my daughters crib sheets every morning.

I use these diapers for my 20 month old son. He was leaking through the diapers at night, so I went up a size in order to stay dry. It seems to be working great. I like how you can't smell any chemical smells when the diper is soiled. They really work great for my son's sensitive skin. I didn't notice any difference in performance with the updated diapers. I would recommend these diapers to any new mom! I love using all of the great products from seventh generation.

I buy paper diapers sparingly because I use cloth pocket diapers during the day and cloth/wool combo at night. That being said, I bought size 4 (new tabs and Lorax design) for my 21.5lb (27in) 5-6 month old for intermittent night use and on a trip out of state. I do change my little guy frequently (every 2hrs or less or if there is an EBF poo). So far they have held up well overnight, but I do change him 2-3 times at night (with cloth AND paper diapers). The only problem has been the poo-splosions. Twice in two days, he has been sitting and the diaper either leaked on the top near the back or through the leg gusset. Bummer. My Little Man is under the weight for the diaper (22lbs+), but I bought bigger due to the reviews. He is a big guy and I can't imagine him wearing the size 3.

So I do like the new stretchy tabs, but not the Lorax design. I am one of those people who hate commercial t'shirts on children or adults (don't get me started on adults wearing Pooh Bear or Disney crap), but it wouldn't keep me from buying the product again.
