Good Stuff,

This review is from: Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Detergent, Free & Clear, 48-Ounce Bottles (Case of 6) (Health and Beauty)
Overall, it is a pretty good dishwashing liquid. It doesnt give me dishpan hands and it smells neutral, I never notice anything.
I have many many many allergies to common stuff, so it was nice to find something that I could use and not sneeze or get a rash. All the "natural" Ivory, etc. soaps are just another name for a new smell that sounds better but still makes me allergic but costs more. It is a little odd, but I use this as a shampoo as well. I am allergic to every shampoo I've tried (over 60+) and seen my 4th dermatologist (allergy specialist in NY recently) who was not able to suggest anything else. I use an off the shelf conditioner (Earth Science) for people with allergies. While I dont value this aspect highly, it does make me feel good to use such a "earth focused" product. NOTE: I dont think gets rid of grease like regular $1 Ajax, but it is much better than most of the other alternatives. At least this has suds, and will cut the grease eventually.

I've used this product on everything from apples to baby formula bottles. It gets rid of the dirty stuff and rinses clean.
The four star rating is because the hydrogen peroxide in the product sucks all the moisture out of my hands. Occasional washing is all right, but I would never do a full load without wearing gloves.

I have had a terrible time trying to find a truly fragrance free dish soap. Most have, at the very least, masking fragrances. This soap is utterly fragrance free, which is important to me as I am chemically sensitive. It is a marvel, particularly when compared to other 'sensitive' dish soaps, which aren't effective and produce little or no sudsing action. This soap is sudsy and very effective at cleaning dishes. I have not been able to use Dawn and other commercial dish soaps that claim to cut grease so I really cannot make that comparison. But when put head-to-head against other 'sensitive' dish soaps, Seventh Generation is the clear winner (not to mention competitively priced).

A Meal Starts with the Dishes,
This review is from: Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Detergent, Free & Clear, 48-Ounce Bottles (Case of 6) (Health and Beauty)
No matter how hard you try to use organic eggs, vegetables, milk, etc. You have to remember that the meal starts on the plate.
This all organic dish washing liquid is perfect for those of us who strive to steer clear of strange chemicals. It works just as well as regular dish washing liquid. It's better for me to use because I know my hands aren't saturated with who knows what. And I prefer eating from a plate that has no chemical film on it. I am very happy with it and can't recommend it enough.

I purchased this last year for the first time. I am thrilled to no longer have chafed hands from washing dishes, and no sopay residue taste on my dishes as with some of the cheaper dish liquids. After finding a great product like this, I have no plans to EVER go back to the others, like Palmolive which I used for many years because it is a bit softer on the hands. Just knowing how much better this product is for the environment and having a less toxic product in my home & around my children is a big relief!
As for greasy dishes, I always noticed a problem in the past when I bought a cheaper (petroleum based) brand on occasion. Not so with Seventh Generation! Maybe it's because I let the dishes soak for a few minutes in the sink, but ever since I first purchased this product I have not noticed a single time where the grease won't come off just as easily as with Palmolive or other brands. This product is so gentle I also use it in my kitchen hand soap dispenser, diluted with about half water, for washing hands, too. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this soap to wash baby bottles. It works great on bottles and best of all does not leave them with a strong fragrance. Also, works great on regular dishes. Amazon price is amazing compared to price at local store.

Works well for all of my needs,

While there are plenty of suds to clean whatever I need, I've noticed that the bubbles go down the drain easier. This would lead me to believe the product is true to its claim, that it is less harmful to the environment. I read one person's comment about the flimsy lids...the lids are different from the other dish liquids I've bought. My suggestion to this would be to pick up this item in the grocery store instead of having it shipped to your door. You can buy it in lesser quantities and the lid will be in perfect shape. They sell this exact product in my regular grocery store. Hopefully the seller will figure out a way to ship this product without the lids being damaged. I personally find that the lid on this bottle is actually less messy and easier to work with when washing dishes because the liquid doesn't cake around the top of the bottle.

I began using this dish liquid about 2 1/2 years ago when my first child was born. I was looking for a soap to wash bottles with as it seemed all of them left a filmy residue and a strong scent. I used this once and was hooked! I use it for all my dishes and have never had a problem with it not doing the job! The fact that it delivered on its claims as well as being environmentally friendly is terrific! It is a little more expensive, but I will never a use a regular petroleum based dish liquid again! I only wish it was available more often on Amazon.com. It seems that whenever I run out it is "unavailable". The price that Amazon has charged in the past is also excellent - I pay double that at local stores.

This liquid dish washing detergent is absolutely amazing. I feel that it works just as well if not better than the regular stuff and it makes my hands feel soft after washing dishes. It is really good for the environment and my house. I have pets and I wash their bowls with it and it gets everything clean and sparkling. I just wish I would have found this detergent sooner than I did!!
I highly recommend this product.

I've come to despise all scented products in the last few years. I don't smell the scent, I smell something else...a strong unpleasant chemical that I can't describe. I smell it in dishwashing liquid, and any fragranced lotions. So every time I washed the dishes, my hands would stink from this chemical. Even washing my hands in vinegar and baking soda could not eliminate it completely. So when my wife found this product I was very happy, and I would gladly pay more for it. It really has no odor and suds up virtually as well as it's commercial competitors. I'm sure the suds don't make for cleaner dishes, but you know...I want to see them.
