4.0 out of 5 stars Thin but they do the job
I had hoped these would be a little thicker (thus 4 rather than 5 stars), but they seem to be working okay. They also have a faint, pleasant scent - vanilla perhaps?

1.0 out of 5 stars Product does not match description
The picture does not match the product sent. And it is certainly not %100 recycled plastic. It says right on the box (not the one shown) that it is a minimum total recycled content 55% and post-consumer content of only 16%. This is false advertising.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for heavy stuff, November 16, 2006
These bags work pretty well as long as you're not placing heavy items in them. I have three litter boxes that I clean often.Placing the used cat litter in this bag, along with the lighter trash, then trying to pull the bag out of my kitchen trash can to dump it in the outside bin results in it tearing every time. The Glad ForceFlex bags never had this problem.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for light to medium duty, December 17, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I generally love Seventh Generation products. It feels good to buy products that are environmentally friendly, from a company that is responsible. However, these trash bags are not their best item. They are thin and rip easily. I use them only in our diaper pail. (We use Seventh Generation diapers as well, which I highly recommend!) The bags will hold a medium heavy load, as long as you don't have a lot of sharp edges in the bag. The best part about these bags is knowing that they are made from recycled plastic, which is good for our landfills.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Bags - Don't Bother, February 17, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Seventh Generation Trash Bags, Tall Kitchen, 13-Gallon, 30-Count Boxes (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
These are really poorly made bags. They are ultra thin, which means you have to double them up if you don't want a rip. They don't tie well because they are so thin, they rip when you try to cinch them. I bought a case and now wonder what I am going to do with all of these bad bags. I want to be environmentally friendly, but these bags just aren't worth the frustration.

4.0 out of 5 stars Product was defective, but otherwise good, May 15, 2007

For the price you really can't beat these, and you're helping save our earth. However, I ordered a case and half the boxes in there were defective - the bags were sealed at the top. Thankfully Amazon has amazing customer service and there was no hassle what-so-ever in getting replacements. The bags are a little on the thin side, but honestly, every other bag I've tried - even those force flex, teflon, etc - all rip. So if the highly-marketed brands are going to rip, why not get these instead and deal with the few rips while protecting our earth a bit!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, February 26, 2008
This review is from: Seventh Generation Trash Bags, Tall Kitchen, 13-Gallon, 30-Count Boxes (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
I love the fact that these bags are made with a high percentage of recycled material.

However, they are thin and tear very easily. I ended up putting less content in them and therefore using more bags than the ones I used previously. I am quite disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best!, February 21, 2007
I have tried other Kitchen Trash Bags and they are much thinner than these and they literally stink of chemicals. These bags are the best!

5.0 out of 5 stars Work just fine and we are contributing..., June 27, 2007

These bags work very well, they are just as strong as the best we've used, and much better than the cheap ones. They were similarly priced or less than any other bags, and we bought a case, since they are a staple item. With free shiping (Amazon Prime) they cost the same or less and they are recycled. This is simply a good thing all the way around... We will do it again. We bought a case of the paper towels as well... I would provide a similar review for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seventh Generation Trash Bags, October 29, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These bags are great! I don't know why there are all these questionable reviews about the quality of these bags. Granted, I have always purchased the inexpensive kitchen trash bags at Target or wherever, but these are perfectly comparable (or even better quality)! They are more than sufficient for our needs, and I imagine the average household's needs. They work just as they are supposed to, and they are great for the environment. Buy them.
