A powerful and environmentally friendly cleaner.,

I've been replacing most of my household cleaning products with 7th generation brands. I have only had good experiences with them and this product is no different.
I've been using the kitchen cleaner now for several months. I've cleaned my worktops, tiles, fridge and chopping board with it. They all look clean as it removes grime and dirt but I was wondering how good the ingredients were at kiiling germs. I googled the chemicals and found that one of ingredients, Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2)is a powerful environmentally friendly disinfectant and is stronger than chlorine. The Hydrogen peroxide chemical oxidises micro-organisms and essentially burns them. It breaks down into water and oxygen and poses no environmental threat. Other big name cleaners cause chlorine gas and toxic chemicals to enter the environment. I think that the 7th gen. company should promote this more on their bottles as I believe the bathroom and all purpose cleaners also contain the same ingredients. This cleaner has so many advantages. Environmentally friendly in its production & decomposition. Its ingredients are fully disclosed with no animal ingredients or testing. It smells pleasantly because it has citrus oil to remove grease. No toxic or corrosive chemicals that can damage human health. It works.

The following three products:
Seventh Generation Shower Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces Seventh Generation Bathroom Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces Seventh Generation Kitchen Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces ... all have IDENTICAL ingredients in them, according to the backs of their bottles: Hydrogen peroxide (the active stain removal agent), biodegradable surfacants (for soil removal), citrus oil (for grease removal), food-grade, non-toxic oxygen stabilizers (to help the hydrogen peroxide last longer), Water. However all three bottles have different UPC codes, and different codes on the bottoms of their bottles. 2110-4, 2110-5, and 2110-6. Now perhaps each product has a different concentration of each of the above in them, but that seems strange... but having three different products with identical ingredients, catering to different things is strange as well... unless they wanted to try and maximize profits. "No, no, no, that's for the shower! No, that's for the kitchen!" I guess "All-Purpose will clean ANYTHING and GOOD for the ENVIORNMENT" was something the marketing team didn't want to try. Anyway, as for the product itself, it sprays on, I see soapy cleaning bubbles, it smells nice, and wipes away clean. So it does its job. But again, I find the above mysterious. Since these products, as of my writing, have varying stock status, some being 24 hours, others 1 to 2 weeks, you can rest assured that they're all just the same anyway. |
