Good detergent - bottle size is too small,

The detergent has worked well for us so far.
That said, I'm not extremely picky. We typically wear casual clothes and aren't inspecting every load to determine if a stain came out, or if a color faded. My only complaint with this, and actually most Seventh Generation products, is that the bottle size is too small. In the end, the small packages result in more package waste. A bottle twice this size would have less packaging that needed to be recycled per ounce of detergent. I speculate that they are trying to mask their higher prices with smaller portions. There's no need. We all know we're paying a little more. I also had an anomaly with my shipment. I ordered a case of Free & Clear only to find the first bottle had a lavender scent. Not sure if this was a mixup by Amazon or Seventh Gen. Finally, the bottles appeared to leak some in shipment. I had to wash at least three of them off in the sink prior to putting them away. Once wasn't a problem, but if this became a constant thing it would be annoying.

Organic Product at its best!!!!,

I am recently alergic to just about everything due to some medication sensitivity. I broke out in rashes if there was the slightest change to the chlorine in the water!!! Anyway, a friend of mine suggested that I 'go natural'. So I did. Organic anything is a bit more expensive BUT well enough worth it!
But this laundry detergent is AWESOME!! I wash everything with it. My whites are whiter, the colors are brighter, my clothes are not doused in unessassary fragrances and my sensitive skin has not had an outbreak in quite some time. Also, this stuff is AWESOME for people with BABIES!!! The enzymes in this break down all urine/feces/vomit/blood. (for these particular stains I recomend leaving the washer's lid open and let it sit so that the enzymes have time to work out those stains!) I give Seventh Generation Laundry Conc. Free & Clear 5 stars for it's awesome cleaning power and for the fact it is ORGANIC and it ROCKS!!!

So many times environmentally friendly products are just not good products, but not so with this laundry soap. It cleans just fine, in hot, warm or cold water. I will definitely continue using this product.

Fades colors,

I just noticed that it fades colors. It's good at taking out the stains, but I had a hand made baby blanket that had beautiful bright colors. I washed it with Dreft once and it was fine. The second time I washed it with this detergent and now the colors look pastel :(. I also noticed that it affects certain materials. It must be the enzymes in it. I will only use it for whites now.

Great Organic Product,

I have been using this detergent for over a year and have no complaints. I have not noticed that it has faded any of my clothing and I even use it in place of Woolite for hand washing. I would easily recommend this product to anyone. I still use a stain remover (currently shout but I am switching to an eco-friendly product soon) as I have a small messy child.

as good as tide cold water,

We have used Tide cold water for a long time. Our household includes two small boys, four and seven, and all the predictable dirt and stains. We were happy with the Tide, but wanted to be more green. I have found this to clean fine in cold city water. It is also cheaper to use when ordered in bulk.

This product is great for people with sensitive skin or for those don't like perfumed detergents. My only complaint is that the dirtiest clothes don't get quite as clean as with commercial products. But in those cases, a shot of Shout should take care of it.

This is Great Laundry Detergent--Especially if You Have Sensitive Skin,

I have been using Seventh Generation Free and Clear Laundry Detergent for about six months now and I think it's great. The stuff really IS free and clear--unlike so many products that seem to have some fragrance even if they promise they don't--which is great for people who have sensitive skin. My husband and I have both broken out from different detergents/and or dryer sheets in the past, so we're always wary to try a new detergent, but neither of us had any reaction to the Seventh Generation stuff.
It's a great bonus that this detergent is environmentally friendly. The concentrate lasts a long time since you have to use so little for every load, and the detergent you do use is biodegradable. I like the idea that I'm not killing the planet by getting clean (I live right by a major east coast waterway so it's extra nice)! I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good environmentally friendly detergent.

Great detergent!,

This detergent has worked well for us so far. It is expensive, but it has been great for my daughters allergies. It seems to clean very well. I haven't noticed any lingering stains or color fading, but when you're talking tons of kids clothes, I don't inspect everything carefully while doing the laundry. I have a front loading washer and this is great because it doesn't get overly sudsy and leaves the clothes very fresh smelling.

We have used this product for a year now and feel it works as well as any mainstream laundry product. I really like the concentrated formula because you have a smaller bottle to store and I feel it adds to the eco friendly factor. Our family of four uses about 1 bottle a month give or take. We like the lack of fragrance, or dyes because our son has sensitive skin. Amazon has a great price and the auto ship means I always have laundry detergent. My only issue with the whole process has been leakage from the bottles during shipping. The first time a bottle was actually broken and another time is was only oozing around the cap. The bottles are taped probably by amazon before shipping so it may be the shipping company at fault. I would recommend this product.
