Seventh Generation Natural Glass & Surface Cleaner cleans without streaks, and is 100% solvent and VOC free. Most conventional glass cleaners are made with solvents: alcohols that are toxic (typically poisonous), ammonia, which is a respiratory irritant, or glycol ethers that cause systemic organ damage. Unlike these cleaning products, our product does not create unpleasant fumes and will not leave harmful residues. We guarantee you'll be able to smell the difference. Seventh Generation is a small Vermont company that specializes in environmentally friendly products. According to their advertising, this glass cleaner is "non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, biodegradable, vegetable based and contains no dyes or fragrances." Thus, it will not harm you. Not only will it not harm you, but it will not harm the seventh generation of your descendants.
I tried the cleaner on glass, granite countertops, and ceramic. The bottles have both a spray and squirt option. The cleaner does work. It cleans as well as other cleaners. We still have to do all those other things that we need to do to save our planet, e.g., stop climate change. Whether you buy this or not depends on how much you value the environmental friendliness of the manufacturer and the product.

I have asthma and this makes cleaning challenging. Many cleaning products irritate my breathing so much I have to stop and give up before I'm finished. This cleaner works very well and never irritates my airways. It is also nice to know I am using safe cleaners around my young children.

Seventh Generation Cleaner Glass and Surface / B000UXBJCU I really love this cleaner - I thought I would need to use more and scrub harder because it's eco-friendly (ergo, not as strong, right?) but it's just as tough as anything else I ever used, and it doesn't have a chemical smell to burn my nose and throat. Even better, when my two cats and one dog lick whatever I was cleaning afterward, I don't have to worry that I'm going to have to rush them to the vet for poisoning, unlike the stuff I was using before. I love Seventh Generation and I haven't met a product of theirs that I didn't like. ~ Ana Mardoll
