Our training pants are made of chlorine free wood pulp fluff, sodium polyacrylate (also referred to as SAP or absorbent gel), polyolefin nonwoven fabric, adhesives, polyolefin film, synthetic rubber elastic strandsThe color of training pants is typically achieved through the addition of color pigments to their inner and outer cover materials. This is also true for Seventh Generation training pants. While most designs on the market use pigments that result in a white color, we use a combination of pigments that result in a light brown color. Without the addition of color pigments, these materials would be colorless, much like a plastic milk jug. We use brown pigments to help distinguish Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Training Pants from others in the marketplace that are bleached with chlorine-containing substances. All disposable training pants, including Seventh Generation’s, rely on man-made materials to deliver the high-level performance that parents expect of modern training pants. These materials are mostly petroleum-derived and are not renewable, which adversely impacts the environmental footprint associated with these products. At Seventh Generation, we are pleased to offer an alternative that is not bleached with chlorine, and are working hard to further improve the sustainability of our diaper products.

Also, we used the old and "new" formulations and both worked equally well with the same results. I've been using this particular item for two or three of my kids over a span of five to ten years.
however, i think that is what a lot of parents are using this for, especially for 3-4 year olds. with that in mind, i want to let parents know that this may not work for them if that is what they want. they are more absorbent that i thought they would be, minus those super absorbent polymers used in the conventional, chemical laden brands. if your child was an average or light wetter overnight these would likely work out just fine. for the afternoon naps or extended car rides, again, they would probably work. but if your child is a heavy wetter, you will probably be doing more laundry than you like and your child may be waking you up, upset, in the middle of the night because they are wet because this leaked. i found that on my son, who seems to be a heavy wetting 3 year old, these would leak less than half the time but still more than once a week. my daughter, wore these just fine as a 2 year old overnight, but she was a very light wetter at night and stopped wetting at night altogether months before she turned 3. just shows how each kid can be so different.
we put two towels underneath him and since he actually refuses to wear pajamas, it worked out ok that the towels covered the leakage and he didn't seem to be wet himself, as if the last accident that went overboard so to speak was maybe right before he woke up anyway. we do make sure he goes potty and try to curtail his drinks up to bed time to minimize wetting- so it isn't like he goes to bed with a full bladder and these can't contain it.Read more ›

They leak too easily when my toddler has an accident, but they don't hold a bad smell, which is great.Published 2 days ago by Tuesday Muhammad
These are fantastic for potty training. They are not super absorbent so my daughter feels when she goes pee. If your child is a heavy night wetter they will leak though. Read morePublished 15 days ago by Kristina Smith
