This is an awsome book. A must for every serious reader. For it covers a subject virtually everyone of us wrestles with. Seventy Times Seven is full of honest and touching stories - many based on personal experiences of the author - These stories model forgiveness in a deeply and profound way. This book is available now and would make excellent Christmas gifts. I have ordered and received copies for every member of my family.

Forgive to Live,
By John P. Morgan "Light Coach" (Beautiful San Dimas, CA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Seventy Times Seven: The Power of Forgiveness (Paperback)
When I first came across the book, Seventy Times Seven, I thought I thought it was a math book and I remembered my seventh grade math teacher, Mr. Jackass (not his real name.) Ah, yes, he was a real pip.
I hated that guy. And then I came to the realization that this wasn't a math book at all, but a book on forgiveness. Who knew? When the disciple asked Jesus how many times we should forgive someone who has wronged us, Jesus replied said, "Seventy times seven..." He did not literally imply to forgive someone 490 times, but to live in a state of continuous forgiveness. How do we do this? Well, "forgive" me for saying this, but you might have to read this excellent book to find out. But let's just say you need to forgive someone now and you can't wait for the UPS man to deliver your newly ordered book. This is what I suggest....allow yourself to get quiet, still, and centered as much as possible...breathe in and ou...in and out until you feel relaxed...and then call that person to mind...think about what they may have said, or did, and just look at it with as little emotion as possible and then allow Light and Love to enter into the picture until all there is, is Light and a feeling of Love and breathe that Love and Light in and out...in and out...until you feel all resentment and all anger moving out of your mind and your heart...and then say a little prayer for the person and for yourself. Remember forgiveness is not for others as much as it for ourselves. This is a wonderful book and will open your eyes to how powerful forgiveness really is. As for my seventh grade math teacher, I heard not too long ago that he moved to a Higher place. Yep, he currently lives in Ontario, Canada... Peace & Blessings, people

Gods love has kept my family strong. I have had a lot to think about this year In October I will be given another gift of a fourth Great Grand Son Fran's fourth Grandson. The oldest on asks about her now, I thank my Lord and Savior that bitterness has not destroyed us.> A new challenge has come up with a theft , of a lot of money. I forgive the young woman who took it, and only wish well for her. She helped me for over three years with my housework as I am now in a wheelchair. Every night I pray that no harm comes to her. Please do not think that I do not believe in justice, it is just that justice and revenge are not the same. I shall continue to do as Christ told us and forgive Seventy times seven. Love you both Fran and Dan

This is a great book for practicing christians to read. If we, as Believers in the Way of Christ, practiced our faith with the thought that if we do not forgive we won't be forgiven, this world in which live would be closer to the Prayer that Jesus taught. This concept of forgiveness is probably to Spiritual for worldly people to grasp

Johann Christoph Arnold understands the urgency of forgiveness. Hitting the roots of every psyche and soul, he gives us exhaustive anecdotes of the healing power of forgiveness. In a culture where we normally find it difficult to admit this need, the denial goes deep and the wounds go unattended. But Arnold doesn't simply rely on testimonials to make his sales pitch to our psyches, he gives us plenty of insight from theology, psychology, and, even literature to feed our hungry minds and souls. Normally, it is a person's prideful stance that refuses to see a practical need to seek forgiveness, but he shows in myriad ways, its powerful effects upon its benefactors, and, more importantly, its beneficiaries.
