5.0 out of 5 stars Metal done right, September 7, 2006
This review is from: Severance (Audio CD)
There are a lot of cookie-cutter metal bands out there who switch from the ever-famous heavy verse to melodic chorus, but DAYSEND takes that concept and kicks it up several brutal notches. Some of their influences shine through in the Mike Patton-esque vocal hook of "Born is the Enemy", to the powerful double bass reminiscient of Raymond Herrera. This CD is a masterpiece from top to bottom.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of many great Australian metallers, June 21, 2007
This review is from: Severance (Audio CD)
These guys do the so-called "swedish melodic metal" sound as good as any band you'd like to name, but without sounding like they're trying to copy them. Fans of Soilwork , In Flames et al will be impressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!, May 20, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Severance (Audio CD)
Aussie Melo-death metal at its finest. A shame they are so underated. But then again who cares about credit! This is Melodic Death Metal done right. Very surreal sound. Born is The Enemy is definitely my favorite! You gotta love that riff. I practically lose myself in it!
