BJ Bourg is the Chief Investigator for a Louisiana District Attorney's Office. He has over fifteen years of law enforcement experience in a variety of fields, including patrol, investigations, training, SWAT, and as a Sniper Leader. He spent ten and a half years as a detective and has investigated countless felony cases, ranging from thefts to murders. He received extensive training in homicide investigations, as well as other facets of police work, and solved every murder case to which he was assigned. He has successfully completed several sniper classes, including the FBI Sniper School, where he was named Top Overall Marksman. He has trained a team of award-winning snipers and was the guest Sniper Instructor for the 2001 Louisiana Tactical Police Officer's Association Conference. He is an accomplished police trainer who holds instructor certifications in various subjects, including firearms, TASER, and defensive tactics. He teaches several investigative-related classes and Report Writing at his local Police Academy. BJ Bourg is a published mystery author with one book already in print and another under consideration. He has had over seventy short stories accepted for publication in over a dozen online and print venues. He is the author of “Absent the Soul”, and his work appears in the following anthologies: “The EX Factor”, “Stories of Strength”, and “Seven By Seven”. He is also the editor and owner of the new online mystery magazine called Mouth Full of Bullets.He enjoys martial arts, boxing, beating his drums, strumming his guitar, and, most importantly, spending time with his beautiful wife and two wonderful children. As a martial artist, he is undefeated in tournament competition. As a professional boxer, he is 2 and 1, with both victories coming by way of knockout. He is unknown as a drummer or guitarist, but his kids love him anyway.
