My son is 22 months old, he loves music and really enjoyed this Christmas gift. He plays it all the time. The quality of the product is excellent. The only improvement my husband suggested was labeling the keys and providing music like twinkle, twinkle little star or other nursery songs.

This xylo is so cute. My 2 year-old loves it and even older kids (and even adults!) that visit our house fall in love with it. What I love the most is the sound, so unique, not like those cheap metal xylophones available everywhere. And the cute little animals that are painted on it are a great way to learn too. My son likes to identify these animals. I would highly recommend this to every parent. It is so important to stimulate the musical side in every kid with quality toys like this one from Sevi.

I really love this and so does my 5 and 2 year olds. We are a musical family and find the quality of the sound to be just perfect for a toy instrument. Far superior to the metal versions. Each bar has its own accurate and very pleasant tone, not too loud and not too quiet. You really can play little songs on it. My son takes piano and he sits with it in his lap playing the songs he knows - they sound very nice. Highly recommended. What they don't mention is that near the handle is a little slot to store the mallats when it is not in play - great feature!

I was looking for a better quality xylophone for my kids, who are really into music - and I am not happy with my choice. I wanted to avoid the tinny sounds of a cheap version, but this one doesn't cut the mustard. 2 notes are the same and the tone is poor. Pretty to look at, but I wouldn't recommend this for the money.

this is one of the most beautiful toy xylophones on amazon. the sound is interesting, too, but it's not designed to play a scale like you would think by looking at it. an earlier review mentioned that the keys are not labelled - this makes sense to me now after using it in person. it doesn't play true notes, so it wouldn't make sense to label the keys. i do however appreciate the design and the fact that it comes with two mallets.

I'll call this one pretty good. Tone is nearly in tune. Colors are good and the paint is pretty durable. The small screws used to hold the bars on are not quite long enough. I had to reassemble several bars within a day or so of use. If you have a couple screws on hand it's not the end of the world, but a bit of a pain.

Overall, less annoying in the hands of a toddler than many musical instruments designed for that age group.

I bought this for my 15 month old grandson and he loved it immediately. Has decent tone, though yes not a true scale. At his age it does not matter-I just want him to like music. For some reason he likes to turn it over and strike the back of the keys also. Seems well made.

I was looking for an all-wooden xylophone since the sound is so much nicer than the tinny metal ones, and I'm not disappointed. I've not had any problems the other reviewers have had with screws loose or the notes being out of tune. However it would be nice if there were some loops on the back, or velcro? something to hold the wooden mallets in place when the instrument is not being used. The mallets are constantly getting lost in my house.

This is a great xylaphone... wooden, soft sounds, sturdy. However, its made in china, which I wasn't aware of when I ordered this, but as long as you don't let your baby gnaw on the paint, he should be safe!

We opened the Xylophone to find that there were no wooden mallets in the box to play it and I have not resolved yet how to get them.
