Cute Dog Wear Book!
I just bought this book a few days ago, and I really like it. It has some really cute clothes to make, but my favorite patterns are for three of the dog toys that look really easy to make. They are ADORABLE! A chocolate chip cookie, a iced donut with sprinkles and a gingerbread boy...all with sqeakers! My lil' guys are gonna love 'em...

Good Book, Patterns Not.
Over all this is a good book if you want easy to sew dogwear. The only objection I have is that the patterns aren't your typical sewing patterns. They're just diagrams and you have to bring them to scale your self. Some of the projects are good though, so it wasn't a total waste. Very easy to understand.

Not Worth Using,

I am an avid seamstress and follow difficult patterns on a regular basis, but these are almost impossible to interpret properly. The "pattern" has very few markings for good instruction and the instructions are NOT easy to follow, even with a lot of sewing experience. There are no helpful diagrams in the book to look at or follow. Also, the projects in the book are common sense items and can easily be thought of on ones own. If you want something that will give you good patterns to follow for dog toys, clothes, costumes, etc. Go to Wal-mart, Hancock Fabrics or a similar store and purchase multiple "real" patterns that will be much easier to follow and ready to go.

I payed around $48.00 for this and it wasn't worth it! I could get ALL the patterns at the fabric store. Waist of money!

I liked the projects in this book, and the directions seem easy to follow and detailed. My only question was, where are the dogs? Every project is illustrated using stuffed toys which gives the book a childish feel. It would have been nice to see the finished projects on actual dogs to get a better idea of how they'll fit etc.
