I was very excited to be getting another set of Amy Butler patterns, but was extremely dissapointed to find that only 3 of the patterns are new. All the others are available in Amy Butler's In Stitches: More Than 25 Simple and Stylish Sewing Projects. Highly recommend purchasing "In Stitches" instead of this little kit. The only advantage that this kit provides is that the patterns are on small cards that you can take with you if you are going to a sewing group get together instead of carrying a book.

I love Amy Butler, and her designs are so fresh. I purchased this after her book "In Stitches", and I am disappointed that there are several repeat patterns. I was hoping for something new and different. I guess one of the dangers of buying online, you don't get to see it first.

I will say, that the packaging is very cute, and would make a very nice gift. You also get fabric with this, which is a nice touch. Overall it is a nice set, but just check and make sure you don't already have these patterns first! :)

Amy Butler - Her designs and style are refreshing.

This kit is good for beginners or for someone who never come across her other products. A well packaged kit set, as will keep things [project cards etc] in place.

For me, was a disappointment when it arrived.
I was expecting new patterns, ideas etc.

To me this kit is like a cut down kit-version or portable-version of the 10 patterns in her "In Stitches" book. The 5 new sewing projects are Pillow cover, Vase cover, Pincushion, Tissue box cover and Market tote. Those five you can see images of them on her website. Rather dull new projects - only looks pretty with/in her fabrics.

As for the fabric comes with the kit - feels and looks cheap compare to her premium quality print cotton fabrics [was manufactured in china].

Next time I shall wait for reviews on her _new_ product(s) than Pre-ordering. 8)

I purchased Amy Butler's "In Stitches" and loved it. So I found this "Sew it Kit" and bought it thinking it would have more fun patterns. Out of the 15 patterns 11 were the exact same ones as the book! They should describe these items a bit better to save the hassle of buying the same thing twice!!! Put new patterns out there!!!

Although I love Amy Butler's fabric line and other books, this kit was disappointing. The projects were fairly simple, and I found the cards to be pretty gimmicky. That being said, it would make a lovely gift for someone who is just getting interested in sewing.

I went ahead and bought this because I love Amy Butler's designs. It was disappointing at best to open the shrink wrap to find out that there aren't many new patterns, and the fabric was very drab compared to the rest of her collection. Save your money; don't buy this kit.

It wasn't as great as I had hoped. Once I got this there were only 2 projects that I wanted to make and I made one of them. The directions were adequate and the drawings were helpful. In the future I won't buy a kit when I can't see a list of the patterns in the description.

I bought these books for my daughter who is just beginning to sew and she loved them both! Thanks for your prompt delivery during the Christmas season!

like it. some of the projects are really dumb, but most are darling. easy-to-follow directions.

If you already have the In Stitches book then you will be dissapointed with this kit. The pattern unless one or two are all in the book and the fabric that comes with the kit is just for a little project only.
