This book is easy to read, and gives a lot of good information. It has helped me to be more organized as I work on starting my business, and gives a breakdown of pricing, and even making a workspace. Its handy, and will be a good book to refer to often.

You can do what you love and make money. You can work on purpose and get the life you want. You can work at home, be a wife, be a mom and make money. Running a business at home is the same as running the business of a big company. If you think, look and act like a business, people will pay you what you are worth. If you believe in what you are doing, others will believe in you too. This book shows you the way to navigate a home-based business, managing a family, and make money. You can create the life you want, I did! Kathleen

This is a small book that is very informative and doesn't take hours to read. I loved it! I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to start their own home sewing business. Thanks Kathy for writing such a wonderful book!

I highly recommend this book ~ it's an easy read and jam packed with fantastic ideas for those wanting to start a home sewing business. I was a little leery when I received the book as it's rather small, but I was way off base. There are great tips on getting organized, pricing, and so much more. I think it's a book I'll refer to again and again. Two thumbs up ~ thanks Kathleen for writing such an informative book!

I bought this book some months ago, and once I received it I read it. Since then I have read it several times. I just love this book. Kathleen Spike's story inspires me to sew, and actually I am planning to start my own little business, thanks to her. Kathleen Spike started to sew when she was young, and when she had her first baby her former boss asked her to sew something for her. After that she decided to start her own business at home. What inspires me is that this could be me. Kathleen Spike is an ordinary woman who happens to have enough guts to start something on her own. I have always wanted that, and after I read this book I decided to go for it. This is what I want to do in the future, and Kathleen Spike's story will help me all the way. Those days I don't believe I'll ever manage to reach my goal I just read this book once more.

The book is well written and is very inspiring, offering success stories and valuable tips. And although it is somewhat outdated in terms of computer application, advertising methods, etc. , it still has great timelss tips on how to orginize your small business, deal with clients, which tools to use and how to reach the right mindset.

I have used this book alot in my own business and found it most useful. I would recommend it to someone with a homebased sewing or craft business

This book is very easy to read and follow, contains good advise for some one with not much experience in this business. Just a bit to outdated, I've read and now am in surch for something that relates better to the present market.

With all the lay-offs around the country, this book could help you become more independent. I admire the author for unselfishly sharing her tips and techniques. If this subject interests you, this book could be your key to personal successs.

This is a great book. It was written a long time ago so some of the things don't really apply like pricing based on local sales.. because now we can sell over the internet. But what a great book and eye opening to the different ways you can offer your sewing services.
