5.0 out of 5 stars If you're just looking for Glass Vase...
If you're just looking for a legal copy of "Glass Vase, Cello Case" and don't want to pay the usurious price of $159 for it, go to Bonfire Madigan's website and order the retrospective "i bleed: a decade of song" (currently unavailable on Amazon).

1.0 out of 5 stars Good Luck Getting "I Bleed: a Decade of Song"
According to Robert Amezcua's review, you can get the CD "I Bleed: A Decade of Song" on the bonfire madigan site at www.bonfiremadigan.com. Well, it appears that you can, but I haven't been able to get a copy. They did take my $15 though. I ordered the CD on December 5th. Around Dec 18th, having not recieved the CD I sent an email to their support address. Then...

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to find, but worth it if you do, July 23, 2004

A unique and wonderful album, but as many say, hard to find.

I can't help you find a copy of the original Sew True, but one half of the duo that made this record (Madigan Shive) has a new album out that compiles many "lost" and out of print songs from the past - including Glass Vase, Cello Case. The CD is called "i bleed: a decade of song" and you can find it by searching the web under the band name of Bonfire Madigan. Several other Bonfire Madigan releases are available on Amazon.

While reviewer Austra indicates s/he was less than happy with the service s/he got when trying to order the mentioned album, I can report I got my copy when I ordered it in about 3 weeks. YMMV, I guess.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, December 2, 2001

The whole purpose behind music in films is to further the plot. I much like another reviewer fell in love with this song watching "But I'm A Cheerleader." The film is one of my favorites, and the song is definately a favorite. It's phenominal. Very sensual, very hard to explain, but nonetheless wonderful. I'm buying the C.D.

5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful - now how do I find my own copy????, September 27, 2001
By
This review is from: Sew True (Audio CD)
I was turned onto this group by their song "Glass Vase, Cello Case" in the movie "But I'm a Cheerleader". It was briefly in the movie but provided for one of the more beautiful moments in a silly movie. At any rate, I've since heard more from this CD, fallen in love with it and can't seem to find a copy anywhere. These girls disappeared from the music scene far too early - they would have been HUGE if they had stuck it out a little longer!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sew True Is Amazing!!!, December 10, 2004
This review is from: Sew True (Audio CD)
This album is amazing!! I had a copy of this album and unfortunately was destroyed during a bad accident. I've searched everywhere to locate this album and it's been the hardest album to get. I was lucky to see Tattle Tale in my early years when the riot grrrl movent was present, and this band only lived for a short while. Everyone got in tune with this band by the movie "But I'm a Cheerleader". I had spoken to Madigan ex-member of Tattle Tale and asked her why the the movie didn't put out a soundtrack and she said no lable wanted to pick it up. That soundtrack had amazing track for you low-fi minds. I would like to add if your looking for "Glass Vase Cello" go to WWW.bonfiremadigan.com and you can order Madigans catalouge. She has released a collection of her work plus some of Tattle Tale songs. The album is called "I BLEED" it's a very good album if you like Tattle Tale you'll really love this album, and Madigan is such a beautiful soul too. Check her out and Jen Wood the other member of Tattle Tale you can go to Jen Wood Trio on the web and on my understanding she is getting ready to tour soon. She is another amazing soul and her albums are really hard to find as well. Her old lable went out of Business (Tree Records), but if you find her stuff I would advice you to buy it. On her web site she is selling an E.P. which is good also and gotten great reviews. What more can I say about this band the members that everyone raves about. I just ask if anyone has any information to get a hold of Tattle Tales album please email me at onlylovecanbreakyourheart76@msn.com..

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple Pleasure!!, February 11, 2002
By
This review is from: Sew True (Audio CD)
When Jen and Madigan put down the tracks for this CD, they created a masterpiece of simplicity.
With only the perfection of thier harmonies with guitar, cello, and tamborine, they gave to us a musical magic that was all their own.
Glass Vase Cello Case, being their more memorable song, the others are just as sentimental, just as moving... The entire CD is worth more than money...

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic CD, May 14, 2009
This review is from: Sew True (Audio CD)
So, I feel incredibly lucky. I have Sew True as well as the song, Erica (from Move Into Villa Villakula--got to love the Pippi Longstocking reference). I think that with our highly digitalized world, it's absolutely retarded to have to spend so much on this particular cd, as I did--especially since the people who recorded it are not seeing any of the profits. Now if Madigan Shive or Jen Wood were selling it, I'd feel very differently and would not offer to make copies for everyone out there who wants it for free. Send me a blank cd, with a self-addressed pre-paid envelope and I'll make dozens of copies for anyone who wants it. I'm guessing that since this thing is completely out of print, that I'm not breaking any laws--and if the above mentioned artists have any objection, I'll cease doing this immediately. e-mail me at aadrian77@gmail.com and if you can tell me how to e-mail a music file I can do that as well.

This review is from: Sew True (Audio CD)
i heard glass case cello vase watching but i'm a cheerleader( which is an awesome movie by the way) if you go to yahoo LAUNCH and get your own radiostation, it's free, you can search for tattle tale and miraculously they have it then on the rating button rate on a scale of how much you love them and they'll play their songs for you at any given time.
