The author gives the reader a very thorough view on working with leather. Her list of items needed to get started was dead on! What I liked best was she didn't mind repeating herself a couple of time so the reader could get the hang of what she was talking about. What I didn't like was that she only talked about sewing clothes, so since I've been working with leather, I had to creat new tricks of my own. I must admit, I never would have come up with them without the author's extremely helpful insight.

I have loved the idea of sewing leather because I prefer natural materials versus synthetic and like the luxurious feel and texture of real leather, but was always afraid that my sewing machine could not handle this material. This book answers all my questions and quells all the fears. I have since purchased some leather pieces and am experimenting with leather trims and accessories just to get my feet wet. This is the perfect book to get you started sewing leather.
