4.0 out of 5 stars Time to hear the good stories., June 21, 2004

This review is from: Sewing the Mustard Seed (Paperback)
This is an excellent book by an African leader (the current President of Uganda) who is not well known in the west. This man managed to turn his country around after to was almost completely destroyed by two of the worst dictators the world has seen namely Idi Amin and Milton Obote. I picked up my copy while on a trip to Uganda last year, and I was traveling with a person who had been there about a decade ago. He was amazed at the change. Must of us can count one one hand the number of famous African leaders who do good, but everybody hears about the bad ones and they remember them. We need to hear from the good ones now. This is a story about man changed a country from one of the most dangerous places in the world to one of the safest.
It must also be remembered that this is an autobiography and is slanted in the author's favor.
