At this price, I wasn't expecting much. Unfortunately, I got even less. The tiny scissors aren't sharp enough to cut the thread. The hinge on the thin plastic box is broken so that it doesn't stay closed. Even for the most basic sewing needs, this kit won't do.

I bought this item as a basic sewing kit for small fixes. The quality is terrible. The plastic is flimsy, the spools of thread really cheap, and tape measure is made of paper. The travel kits in most stores for $1.95 are better than this. I bought it a while back. Don't waste your money!

I was in a rush to buy a sewing kit for my daughter and didn't read the reviews. If I had, I would have known what I am going to tell you. This kit is garbage. The plastic box doesn't close, the scissors don't work, it is flimsy. Don't bother.

I should have paid attention to the one review given. Not worth the price, actually would have been over priced at $2.95.

Please stop selling this item. The thread cannot be unwound easily. The tape is paper made. The scissors are useless. They have just the shape of scissors.

Don't bother buying this. The quality of the case is very poor. Cheap plastic. Case wont even stay closed.

absolutely low quality even for a chineese product.
the pair of scissors on there was smaller than my thumb, to give you a perspective on how minuscule the product is.
The measuring tape was made of notebook paper. the spools of thread are also worthless.

The scissors literally fell apart the second they were used. The rest of the kit didn't fare that badly, but was still shoddy. One can't expect too much from a $5 sewing kit, but this one couldn't even meet the lowest standards.

If you like to be prepared for those nasty rips, tears, missing buttons etc. that can happen when out and about, this is a great buy. I personally keep it in my car, and it's come in handy quite a few times.
