This is the greatest metal album of all time. Possibly the best album of any sort. It never has, nor ever will be equaled.

Explosively bombastic, creative drumming, and aggressive, deranged, yet thoughtful vocals combine with ruthlessly heavy, swinging sweeping spiral, reverseable off-kilter catchy, putrid punk mad mozart mardi-gras walk the plank fretwork, where each segment is played once and discarded. The result is a seamless twisting tunnel through which each song is a progression, a war, a life lived from beginning to end.

If you've listened to rock and roll for any length of time, you'll hear these guys play a part and go, "Oh yeah. That's how that's supposed to sound."

It can take repeated listens to hear everything that's packed into this. Even then it still sounds fresh and punchy as ever.

A friend of mine told to listen to this album back in high school back in the day. I was instantly enamored with the depth, intensity, range, and sheer psychotic-ness of this album. They are a mix of all the metals (heavy, death, speed, black), some southern rock, a little blues stuff in there, and a touch of crazy. For a week I listened to it almost exclusively; and that weekend my same friend took me to see them live at Fitzgerald's in Houston. They put on the most intense, ear destroying shows I've ever seen. For awhile I was having trouble categorizing their sound (if you listen to the album you'll know why), but I came up with a not totally inaccurate southern grind-core. Then later on someone said they sounded schizophrenic, thus my title.

I've listened to 2 of their other albums, and this seems to be their masterpiece. It's almost like a few songs, because a lot of the tracks blend together. Anyway, I still turn this one on every now an again when I feel like going nuts, usually at the gym.
