"Frequently asked questions about gay sex are addressed bythe nationally known columnist. "Can a condom be put onunderwater?" "I'm married to a woman, but I like men. Is this wrong?" "Is penile enlargement real or a hoax?" If you can think of it, nationally known sex columnist Tony Palermo can answer it, and he does in this collection of over 100 of the most frequently asked questions about gay sex. Often humorous, always respectful, and never condescending, Sex Adviser tackles serious questions about STD prevention, troubling questions about fidelity, and technical questions about what goes where with care, thorough research, and plain common sense. A perfect book for young men with a lot of questions or anyone with a healthy dose of curiosity, Sex Adviser is an important and valuable addition to sex education. Tony Palermo dispenses sex advice to gay men in a national monthly column." - From the publisher

VERY INFORMATIVE...But Not Everything, May 10, 2001
This review is from: Sex Adviser: The 100 Most Asked Questions About Sex Between Men (Paperback)
I have been openly homosexual for about the past year (except to my parents!) and this past year has been a real eye opener as far as what the gay community is all about.
I picked up this book about four months in to my comming out and found it to be a big help with questions that I needed answers for.
That's what this bbok is espeacially good for, newly open gay men who have many questions that need to be answered.
The range of topics covered in this book are effective, the language true to a T, and the content at times funny.
I love how the book is based on articles. Submissions to a magazine column created by the author Tony Palermo, that give the text an honest "I've Been There, And Now I have This Question', feel.
I also like how through out these articles, men's desires and fears are displayed showing that yes, in fact, it is normal to be feeling this way or that way and that you should never wonder if you're weird because you have a particular thought.
I do, however wish that there was more information in this book on being young and gay. In my area, and in many others, there are not a lot of places that one can go and experience different aspects of gay culture.
None-the-less, I do agree that this book has helped me in ways that can not be explained.

Although the title is named" 100 most asked q's", the actual questions are rather picked to increase readability. For sure there are some good questions that we can relate to, but most of them are either too wierd or too rare. ( e.g. one questions was about this guy turned on by going to dentist but nothing else. see what I mean?) I just found it difficult to finish reading the book. but i think it's still worth the cost. Beacuse after all, I bought it only for the cover guy(the author). (isn't he cute??)
