I picked up Sex, Sin & Brooklyn based on the beautiful tats on the cover. I read the synopsis and realized that this wasn't the beginning, but I was so drawn to the cover that I had to cop this.

Competition ain't about nothing if it doesn't have a few sistas in the mix of things. It makes for a much better tale when the two are related. Breezy has found the one man who can give her more than her daddy can, and she's doing what she needs in order to make certain that she hooks him. However, Nicoli, her older cousin, isn't finished with her time with him and she refuses to back down 'cause she knows that she's definitely the better woman. Cat fight! Meow.

Sex, Sin and Brooklyn doubles as an action packed drama/mystery. The subplot is very strong with plenty of mystique, yet it does not draw your attention away from the origin. Read all about the sex and sin committed in Brooklyn.

First let me say that I just discovered Nicoli, Joy, Stacy and Fertashia were first introduced in "Four Degrees of Heat". I'll have to cop that one next. LOL

Nevertheless, if you enjoyed "The Criss Cross", you'll certainly love "Sex, Sin & Brooklyn". This book will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. It's well written with an abundance of demented twists and turns along the way. The characters are beautiful, dangerous, energetic and crafty.

I must say that Ms. Winslow has the undeniable knack of fusing urban fiction with drama, mystery and suspense. She's vastly becoming one of my favorite female authors.

Sex, Sin & Brooklyn (The second installment), unbolts sex, sin, secrets, lies, betrayal and love, but by what definition? Crystal Lacey Winslow is an all-star when it comes to generating a drama filled book that tosses readers over the limit. Travel through the streets of New York as we meet new cohorts and revisit with some of the old ones. Can you handle Melodrama? (Pun intended!)

It's not how you play the game, but who wins in the end. Growing up as an only child, Breezy has been privileged and venerated her entire life. Educated, fluent in five languages, yet, she's still a `round da way chick. Partying with her friends, Breezy comes into contact with one of New York's' most eligible bachelors. If she plays her pawn correctly, this could be a million dollar love affair. Is Breezy Manolo's soldierly enough to restore the dilapidated heart of her suitor?

At 30, Kesha is a wife, mother and detective. Working hard to protect and serve, Kesha and her husband Daniel have reversed the roles. She's the bread winner, while he's home providing nurture. While partying with her girls, Kesha finds herself enthralled with some of the bad boys in the streets, neglecting her motherly and wifely duties. While laying down the law, Kesha finds that obeying the law can be a double edge sword. Can she remember her oath, or will justifying things cloud her reasoning?

Jinx is really lucky having been the sole survivor of a plane crash. Unfortunately, that luck doesn't extend to her fragile and irreparable heart. It's been three long years since Jinx parted from her first love. After permitting so much pain, she was content with just working, saving, caring for Nana and killing time with her girls. While Jinx is not in the market for a relationship, she seems to immediately get swept away. The problem is Jinx knows that something is wrong, but before she can salvage her self respect, it's too late. Is there love waiting for Jinx, or is she slated for pain?

Nicoli Jones is back and although she's found religion, 90% of the old Nicoli has seeped in. In spite of this, Black King is trying hard to bury their history, but sometimes the chemistry is too strong. When being humble and pledging her love doesn't work, Nicoli goes after the math. Is it too late, or will an overconfident analysis right a wrong?

People remember, there is always hazard while wishing for someone else's hand. Learn to be happy with the life you're dealt. Envy, greed and desperation can lead to your demise. -Circa 2006

Three women on different quests while surviving the rough streets of Brooklyn and dealing with diverse consequences.

Jinx is a well-educated female who lived a troubled childhood and other family issues that pushes her to find love in a man that she never experienced before. She also has a strong gift that causes her to dream certain incidents that will later play a major role in her life. She is determined to do what is necessary to accomplish her goal but will she make the right choices?

Kesha is a female detective, married with three kids and living the streets of Brooklyn. She has a bad sexual appetite for everyone other than her husband. She got the game twisted and did some bogus things that will lead her down the wrong road.

Breezy is a young, spoiled,clever chic living in a fairly tale world. She gets everything she wants, needs, and desire - but how long will it last?

Anytime there are more than two females to a group, it spells trouble. Two is enough, but three is a crowd. Well sit back and enjoy this wild and dangerous ride. This is my first read by author Crystal Lacey Winslow and I loved it! I will definitely be reading more books written by her and highly recommend this book to others.

Brooklyn aka Breezy has always known that she was daddy's little girl. By her mother being killed at such an early age, Breezy's dad, Reggie, developed a strong and controlling hold on Breezy and taught her all about the game. Whether it be sex, drugs or murder, Reggie is no holds barred. Will Breezy fall in her father's footsteps?

Jinx has had her fair share of drama and turmoil. Being the only survivor in a plane crash, which killed both her mother and father, Jinx knows that her name will some day come to pass. Will it be sooner than later?

Kesha loves her job fighting crime on the streets and making sure her peers understand that it is a job and not personal. Being 5-0 can be tough but how else could she get served with some thug passion. Being the one with a steady paycheck as her husband takes care of home and the kids, Kesha is getting tired of her middle class status and decides to take matters into her own hands.

Nicoli has been the bottom chick throughout her relationship with Black. Having his only child, which happens to be a son, puts Nicoli second to no one. While having the time of her life, Nicoli forgets that the way to a man's heart is not through cheating.

While each female has nothing to lose and everything to gain, nobody should and could be trusted.

With all the twists, turns and knots, Crystal brings you straight drama. Great Read. Is she "The Next Top Author?"

I was anticipating for this book for a while an let me be the first to say that this was really a good read. Towards the end was the best. DRAMA all around. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

Jinx- The smartest of the three. Heart broken once will that change her? Does she decide not to love again,to play it safe. Will sex be the answer.Even the brightest among us no match when our hearts come in to play.

Kesha- Has it all, good job as a Narc Det., husband, kids. Her desire for thugs she know from around the way, and her sexual need for everyone but her husband. will this be her downfall or will she survive.

Breezy- Daddy,s little girl who has it all or does she. what is Breezy lacking? does she find it in her Black King? Does it matter that he is the love of her cousin Nicoli,life ?

Lacey does not disappoint

Unique characters, edgy dialogue, page-turning sex and melodrama are her trademark and her latest literary work is no exception. Sex, Sin & Brooklyn is an absorbing read and I look forward to more.

The title of the book says it all! I am officially in love with Winslow's writing skills. I have all of her books and have yet to be disappointed! Please come out with another, soon! Please?
