4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Catholic Teens
As a Catholic Youth Minister, I find this book to be an excellent presentation of our moral beliefs, including the sensitive way in which it handles homosexuality as an orientation and not a choice (see catechism 2358). It is an easy read for teens who are very interested in the topic. This is not a "how to" book -- it is a "when to" book that would...

1.0 out of 5 stars I never let my daughter read the book
I read the book to see if it was o.k. for my daughter to read. He has a chapter on homosexuality in which he states that homosexuality is a result of DNA and is not a choice but is discovered. This goes against my spiritual beliefs therefore I threw the book away.

I am doing a 'church' talk to teen girls. I used this book for my basic information..along with Bible quotes he used. I thought it was very well presented and would be easy for teens to understand. I highlighted about 1/5th of the book for my talk. It's hard to be a teenage girl these days...especially a Christian girl. He tells it like it is. It was written in 1994, so I was afraid it would be out-dated, but it wasn't. I was so glad I took the chance and ordered it.
