This book is gorgeous, to start out with. The hard cover is set in an appropriate hot pink with reptile skin-like texture. Too cool. The book opens up to a short introduction by Sarah Jessica Parker. There are literally hundreds of pictures everywhere. You really get a 'behind-the-scenes' look at what goes on. There is a complete episode guide to seasons 1-4 with a break down of each episode. Some of the things I really enjoyed in the book were as follows:
1) For each main character, they have a biography and pictures of when the star was younger, which I think is really nice to see.
2) For each main character they have a huge line of pictures of the star in some of thier 'featured outfits'. You get to see all of the wonderful fashions as they wore on the show.
3) There is also a timeline for the four girls on everyone they have dated on the show, and who they 'did' and 'didn't do', which was a humorous touch. :)

There is SO much more that I will leave for you to discover when you read the book. I've been a fan of this series for the past three years and I was NOT dissapointed in the least. This book has it all...

This book is a perfect companion to the fantastic HBO series. It's well designed and written, colorful, and a great deal of fun. So much information is here, from the genesis of the project down to the design of the sets and the costumes. Every possible angle of this show is touched upon and then some! It's fantastic for fans of the series or even for fans of television production in general.

Many of the stories and anecdotes told by the cast and crew are almost as funny as the show itself! It's so interesting to read the skittishness of some actors or the little bits and scenes that got cut our because HBO thought they were "too much!"

I highly recommend this book if you've seen every episode and flat out love the show!

This book is a real gem! It's packed with tons of photographs and inside information about the series. There are interviews with all of the cast that are interspersed throughout the book. There are wonderful photographs of the fashions, the locations, and of the cast. HBO and the cast thoroughly endorsed this book and it shows. Every episode of the past four seasons is discussed and all the tidbits of information are there. What a delight for the fan of this show. And the beautiful pink cover of the book is just to die for. This book is lots of fun that you'll be pouring over for hours and hours.

As a big time fan of the show, this book is a treat. It's gorgeous and has lots of show tidbits and quotes. My only complaint is that the Amazon product page for the Hardcover and Paperback edition shows identical reviews which leads buyers to assume they have identical contents. This is NOT true! The Paperback edition, published later, contains all 6 seasons, but the Hardcover edition, published in 2002, only goes up to season 4. Be careful when you order!

It is sooo amazing. But do not expect something that you do not know already. The book has episode guides from season 1-4, and what the actors/producers thought of that episode. All the glamorous outfits worn by the girls are dissected, fantastic for those who want to copy the looks!! The pictures are all gorgeous. A little bit behind the scene pictures, but do not expect too much in that department. Readers definitely do get what the actresses were thinking when playing the show. If you have watched all the show, there is not too many things that you do not know already. But, this book is a must have if you a die hard fan or if you want a compliation of what happened in the first 4 seasons in print. Great memorabillia that fans will indeed keep sake in 10-20 years. I know I will.

My hubby got this book for me for our first anniversary (paper... ;>), and I couldn't put it down! It has gorgeous pictures, including captions telling you the designers of some of the ladies' outfits (not that I could afford any of them, but a gal can dream!)It profiles all the actors--even the guys! All episodes from the first 4 seasons are described in detail, with pictures and memorable quotes from the episodes as well as from the actors and behind-the-scenes people. I also loved hearing about the writers and how they draw from their own lives. This book couldn't be better!!!

I love Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte as if I knew them. So when this book was published, I didnt know what all the hoopla was about it, until I peeked inside...it was gorgeous! It does exactly what the girls do on the show...kiss and tell... character backgrounds(SATC and real life), clothing over the years, favorite moments--all drew me in to buying this book.

Although, they STILL did not release Mr. Big's first name in this book, it is a great buy for your friend(s) who just wont shut up about SATC on Monday mornings.... The book gives a nice synopsis of each episode from seasons 1-4. I will be more excited to buy a revised copy with seasons 1-6, because I love Sex and the City!!

What can I say, sweetie, it's FABULOUS! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish there was MORE behind-the-scenes stuff. If you love the show, you'll LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!

If you love Sex and the City and have always wondered how the concept of the show came about this is the book to read. It goes in depth about the characters and how the actors and actresses were chosen. It is also filled with lots of other fun details about the show from season to season. It is an entertaining and enjoyable read.

It is an ok book, nothing spectacular. It gives an insight into the series and thinking behind costumes etc for the series. I expected a more in-depth analysis but it is not half bad.

I guess it could be a must have for the fans and collectors.
