After listening to this compilation,I can imagine Gus Grissom,sighing after an investigation,"It wad death by music.'The Sex,the City,the Music:Las Vegas' was the cause." This compilation is THAT bad--it's novelty songs,not even what can be called "ultra lounge",and hardly sexy.
Shirley Bassey's "Love Story" theme gets a cheesy,synth-heavy remix,as well as Elvis Presley's famous "Viva Las Vegas"--and it's too cheesy for him.Yes,he wore sequined jackets&was over-the-top with fried banana/bacon/peanut butter sandwiches,but the remix on this compilation thoroughly thrashes his famous ode.Wayne Newton's "Danke Schoen" is a NOVELTY song,NOT a Barry White seduction song;why is it on here?Why oh why?There's the quasi-country song "Hush" and the downright creepy "She'll stay." "Incompletude" sounds like a New Orleans brass band going nuts,and "Fear&Loathing" sounds like...flatulence. "The Sex,the City,the Music:Las Vegas" proves the saying "What happens in Vegas,stays in Vegas"-because this music should have! |
