i'm truly grateful for discovering the metal/sleaze/glam movement still around in europe. Albums like this just proves that some bands still know how to make music that makes you want put the stereo up and smile. I only hope bands like this are getting the recognition they deserve in europe, because they dont get it here. This cd rocks and rocks hard, i can think of one song on the 11 song disc that i dislike. scream for me, all pistols, lay your money down, and stay w/me are my favs. Lay your money down is reminisce of 80's ratt, this cd grabs you by the *ack" from track one and doesnt give up. the choruses are loud and the guitar work is fantastic. The only complaint i have is that i dont think the cd was mixed to its full potential. No matter what i put my stereo settings on, the bass is always cranking. I dont mind it, but it sometimes drowns the lyrics which i dont like. All in all, great, metal/sleaze from sweden, loving it. And please check out Dirty Penny, Blackrain, Peep Show, Killer Klown, Hell n' Diesel for other great listening experiences.

Gemini Five are a new-wave Swedish sleaze-metal band. These guys have a sound that parrallels Motley Crue circa 1985. Now, I know alot of people won't like that because they don't sound like Nickleback or Creed, but these guys are pretty decent, and Sex Drugs Anarchy, is their best offering yet.
Gemini Five jump back on track with Sex Drugs Anarchy. Their debut, Babylon Rockets was pretty amazing as well, but their sophomore disc went more toward an industrial sound than sleaze-metal. I am an sleaze-metal party-rock junkie, I can't get enough of the late 80's/early 90's rock sound that was massacred by grunge in 1992. Sex Drugs Anarchy has some real bright spots, Scream For Me, and Lay Your Money Down top the list, with the latter sounding like something from a lost Ratt demo recording. Other tracks that stand-out are, Stay With Me and All Pistols, but there is nothing wrong with the whole album. The major problem with this disc is the price, like almost anything from Sweden, it's awesome, it just cost alot of money. I found much cheaper than the asking price and snagged it up quick, otherwise I doubt I would currently own it.

LACK OF INSPIRATION BUT GOOD,
This review is from: Sex Drugs Anarchy (Audio CD)
The Cd is good, all the songs sound the same, if you listen carefully, "All pistols " intro is a copy from " Shame Shame " of Ratt's Detonator Album and in the middle is exactly the same as "Good To Be Bad" from Whitesnake, " Something's Gonna Give" is a simple copy of Cinderella's "Somebody Save Me" with the "Shake Me" intro, it is too obvious. It is entertaining but not original at all.
