After four years as Nerve.com's resident advice gurus they now write about all things love- and sex-related on their own website. They have also written a sex column for the UK newspaper The Guardian and currently write the Mating column for New York magazine.

This latest, full-color installment from former Nerve.com sex advisers Em & Lo (The Big Bang) bemoans sterile sex manuals that take all the fun and mystery out of sex. Their latest and most comprehensive guide tackles every variety of sexual congress and the minutiae of seduction, fantasy, filming erotic videos and capped with the obligatory public-service sexual health section. The text is concise and clear, replete with (fairly familiar) puns (there's the rub, the ties that bind)—but the real draw isn't the information, all of which is available elsewhere in more detail—it's the pictures. The images shot by the influential British fashion and portrait photographer Rankin feature a range of aesthetically pleasing yet satisfyingly real-looking and ethnically diverse—although exclusively heterosexual—couples that are soft-core, but still racy enough to inspire naughty ideas, one of the authors' stated aims. I don't buy many such books, but after reading some reviews decided to try this one. It appeared promptly when ordered and was in perfect condition. The book is very well and tastefully illustrated, with a refreshing and modern perspective on a difficult and sometimes taboo subject matter. I also like that the book is clear about the possible dangers of some of these activities whilst being descriptive enough to educate most people I imagine. This is definately not an "idiots guide" and is thoughtfully and professionally presented. I would say this may become a classic text book guide to the things most people don't know about sex. Excellent publication, and pardon the pun - but 100% satisfied!

My wife and i both liked this book. It went over almost everything and gave pros and cons. the book was written in a fun style and has really helped my wife be a little more open to trying new things and highlighted the the importance of for play. over all a very good book.

This is a funny, well-written book that talks about sex in a relaxed and entertaining manner.
The images are tasteful and inviting, and different aspects of sex are dealt with in a thorough and informative, yet amusing, way. It gives great advice and guidelines for various positions and techniques, useful dos and don'ts, as well as advice on sexual health. This is a great books for covering the basics!
