This is the sex book that I've been wanting my whole life. Contains everything I've ever wanted in a sex manual. It briefly covers safety, grooming and basic sexual anatomy and then launches full-force into technique and guided scenarios that will make your whole body tingle with delight. The illustrations boldly go where few books dare to tread and are both illuminating and arousing. It is easy to become excited from simply flipping through the pages. The interactive "choose your own adventures" are a fantastic way to have a personalized experience with this book. The workbook pages spur great conversations and make communicating about sexual needs easy as warm apple pie.

I had pre-ordered this book last November (2009) as I am a HUGE fan of the podcast Sex is Fun. I was anxiously awaiting the book after I got confirmation that it had shipped. I opened it up right away and my girlfriend and I were reading through it having a great time. The Interactive Pages are a valuable resource for those that are wanting to find out what their partner thinks! This book covers so many topics, it's great for just about anybody!

I would highly recommend this book!!

Thanks Kidder!

I'm a big fan of the podcast and I'm glad this book finally came out. This book is more of a springboard to creative thought; encouraging and inspiring the reader to become a better partner, not necessarily a better lover, even though technique is discussed. I learned erotic massage techniques, how to be a generous lover when intercourse isn't an option, possibly a hundred ways to create a special night between my partner(s) and myself, and so much more I couldn't possibly list it all.

The tone, style, and humor in this book make it a fun read. I've read "sex manuals" before and you'd never think sex could sound so boring. Not so with this book! Illustrations, cultural references, and interactive activities (for readers to write in the book and share with their partner) kept me interested from cover to cover.

An important distinction: This book is highly geared toward couples. If you're single or looking for a book that covers a LOT of topics from a fun, yet academic perspective, get The Guide to Getting it On. If you're in a relationship and you're looking to open communication channels, explore sexuality with your partner more, learn a game or two, or just want a fun book to read together, this book is for you.

Whether your single, part of a couple, polyamorous-- whatever, you'll almost certainly get something out of this book. I'm a long time listener of the podcast (Sex is Fun), and I can't praise it enough. Adult movie + sex ed., maybe? There's very useful information in this book. It's funny, visually appealing and has a lot of fun interactive stuff inside. There are great relationship-building exercises and activities to do with a partner or just by yourself. I applaud the bravery of publishers, etc. of allowing this book to be "pansexual" - there are images of both straight and homosexual couples, throughout the book.

"Sex is Fun" celebrates sexuality in all of its variety, encouraging readers to explore their potential for intimacy and pleasure. Solid information about anatomy and safer sex are covered quickly and with refreshing humor before the book launches into specific techniques and a sampling of creative scenarios. The suggested scenarios range from simple and romantic (Day at the Spa) to joyously kinky (Yes, Mistress Helga).

The black-and-white illustrations are well-drawn; both amusing and explicit without being smutty. The worksheets between chapters would be great tools to help couples achieve new levels of intimacy.

Also of note: the interchangeable, pan-sexual content is rare - and possibly unique - a testament to the author's integrity and commitment to inclusiveness. "Sex is Fun" would make a great graduation, birthday or wedding gift for all of your special friends. I am eager to see if there will be sequels.

The erotic artwork is fantastic, putting this book into a class of its own. Reading this book with my partner made communicating about sex really easy for both of us. The "Learning How to Touch Your Partner" workbook chapter was the first time in our relationship that I finally figured out how to explain how I like what I like and where I like it. The fantasy scenarios toward the end of the book are extremely exciting. "Naughty Nurse" was VERY enjoyable for both of us! If you a looking for ideas for exciting sex, this is the book for you.
