About the Author
Ray E. Short is professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Wisconsin in Platteville, where he taught courses on marriage and the family. He is a popular speaker to college students, school assemblies, and youth and counselor conferences. A Methodist minister, Dr. Short is also the author of Sex, Dating, and Love: The Questions Most Often Asked. He lives in Lafayette, Colorado.

I have used this book for over 20 years in a course I teach at the college level. It is unfortunate that it is no longer in print and has not been updated since 1990. However, the information it contains concerning 14 clues to test whether a relationship is really "love" or an "infatuation" is timeless in my opinion.
