This is a nicely written story of a magician and lady who learn that the power of love can overcome evil. Simon is a Guardian, someone who protects normal people from the occult. Beth is an emotionally wounded women who fells in love with him. Unlike most books this doesn't have the big misunderstanding. Even though there are times when Beth jumping to the wrong conclusion could have had disastrous consequences. She realizes that Simon is worth frighting for so she overcomes the minsunderstandings to get Simon to trust her with his secrets. This is a very enjoyable read and I highly recommend it.

This is a very different book, unlike anything I've read before, with the magic and the tantric sex elements. But at the heart of it are two very real, very lovable characters. Simon is an adorably conscientious Guardian, and Beth is sweet, warm and fun-loving. They make a great couple, and while the sex is hot and imaginative it never becomes mechanical because the powerful love between these two shines through every move. Read it!
