Isn't it wonderful when an author, and excellent actors, bring to life an experience from one's past? This movie surpasses expectations despite its contrived congregation of post-production porno actors who unexpectedly know how to faithfully report their experiences, fears, and hopes. Accept this premise, and you will enter a world where your own indecision confronts those early moments where barriers are crossed and intimacy found. This thinking person's movie will touch you as they grasp to go beyond themselves--and if the truth be known, looking back in time, who really moves much beyond these moments?

Imagine a "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"s sequel. Martha is in a mental institution, her mind fractured into four cliches: a butch-but-hot lesbian, a damaged-but-hot straight girl, a misunderstood-but-hot straight guy and a repressed-but-hot gay guy. Her four personalities are locked in a dumpy loft in downtown LA that is furnished with cast-off from "The Flintstones Movie" and "Fire Walk with Me". Said personalities, having remembered their first semesters of Psych, argue back and forth in a manner that they find devastatingly cutting, breaking occasionally to take their pants off, but leave their underwear on. Take said stew and set the stove on "insipid" and cook until the obvious conclusion.

This movie reminds me of theater productions from when I was in college, when people would try to do deliberately (but not TOO deliberate, you didn't want to push real boundaries, or get expelled) outre plays and invite the parents to them, as if to tell Mumsy and Da "See? This is where your expensive tuition went to!" before they went forth to become Republicans or OD. I suppose the plus side is that you can have the experience for considerable less than four years at Hampshire...

First off, THERE IS NO FULL FRONTAL MALE NUDITY in this movie none WHATSOEVER so don't be fooled by the tag! Just a navel gazing exercise! Four people EXPLAINING sexuality. (I get all that even whilst FForwarding through the entire film!) It's that boring! But then again how often does something like "Another Gay Movie" come along? If the cover makes you curious rent it and do same - Fast forward through. Not even worth the time.
