About the Author

Dr. Joel Block is a nationally renowned and highly-respected psychotherapist, working extensively with couples and individuals in his private practice on Long Island, New York. The author of five books, including Secrets of Better Sex, he is also a diplomat of the American Board of Professional psychology and a supervisor on the staff of the Human Sexuality Center of Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He lives in Dix Hills, New York. Susan Crain Bakos is the author of seven books, including the best-selling What Men Really Want, and a journalist whose work has appeared in such popular consumer magazines as Cosmopolitan, Ladies Home Journal, and New Woman. She lives in New York City.

This a a very good book on sex and relationships. There are probably not more than a dozen pages that apply only to 50+ people. Almost any age group could profit from the advice. It is of necessity a bit general, but it is well written, comprehensive, and useful.

Sex Over 50 is an easy-to-read book which shares ideas for bringing back the spark in a relationship that has grown cold. The author helps you to see how normal the changes in your bodies are and how to turn those changes into assets rather than allowing them end your love life. He gives a wide variety of suggestions so that there is something that will work for everybody. My significant other and I both found it to be a treasure.

I just turned 51 and am now single. For anyone turning my age or older, this is a wonderful, hope-giving book!

The same person who pointed me to this awesome book told me about The New Love and Sex After 60, as well as Seasoned Romance, Book One: Ten surprising interviews with age 60-plus men and women who reveal candid, often-intimate details about their secrets for loving, long-term relationships (Volume 1).

Before reading these books, I'm afraid I was on the brink of buying into the idea that seniors often reach the point that sex isn't worth the bother.

That has changed for me. I look forward to having a satisfying sex life in later years. And I appreciate the authors that I've mentioned in helping me to be hopeful!
