Christopher Mealie has put together a book of photos for those of us ( aging baby boomers ) who remember when lingerie, and / or bare breasts were as hot as it got. There's something about what you DON'T see that makes it all the more sexy. That these women are rather normal-looking, and would, most likely, never grace the pages of Playboy, makes them more realistic, and, attainable.For those of you who don't, necessarily, want the girl next door, and like a wide variety of breasts, this collection is for you.

I think the images are stunning, the girls evoke a classic beauty that doesn't exist anymore EXCEPT between the covers of this excellent book. People today don't appreciate fine erotica. . . Maxim has ruined it for this generation. Thankfully, this brilliant book captures the seduction of another era. . . one that is missed but not forgotten. Get a copy of this book if you want to see what a truly sexy woman looks like. . . you won't find her in playboy or maxim, but you will find her in this book.

Christopher's collection of photographs is a wonderful nostalgic view of the way things used to be. It gives us a fond look back at the times when these photos were quietly passed around in secret, and when we got to sneak a peek at our dad's (or grandfather's) private stash.

I've probably seen all books dealing with this subject from the last 20 years. This is, by far the greatest one. It is notable because it attempts (and succeeds) to place this kind of imagery back into its original context-where it belongs. Contemporary books dealing with the subject often end up highfalutin and stodgy. There are TONS of pictures, and all are exemplary examples of the genre (for better or worse!) The ladies within are usually sexy, often funny and at times hideous. The introduction is a breath of fresh air and is humorous, informative and captures the sensibility of the pictures. BRAVO! NOV SHMOZ KAPOP!

Its a great collection of vintage erotic photographs........ Unlike anything available now days. Buy this book if not for the nude ladies....then for the photography art!!!

The ladies are often sexy, almost always topless, sometimes bound and repeatedly set in the environments befitting the time. These are not professional pin-ups of the Hollywood type, more so amateur pics that are drenched in the lusts of perverts from New Jersey or much more seemy locations. Some out of focus, some ugly, a couple seeping with desperation, a collection for those who cherish the sights of Coney Island over Busch Gardens and the world of WeeGee over Bob Guccione.

Not sure what this guy is talking about. It's an impressive collection of photographs from the period.
Erotique is something completely different from this. Erotique is trying to be highbrow history and Sexcats is not.
Plus, Erotique has some terrible layouts.

It may not be the most original review about this book, but it is a great collection of old pictures from the time when pinup girls were the more desired women on Earth. It is interesting to see how most of the models on these pictures would not make the cut on today's fine nude photography, nevertheless they are still astonishingly beautiful.

One note, I gave this book five stars because the photographic content was what I was expecting. Nevertheless, if you get it, save yourself the pain of reading the introduction. First, it rambles way too much, may be engaging at some point (for like ten sentences) but later on gets to the point where it is incoherent. Besides, what it says is different on every language.

Now, that's with respect to content. When it comes to format, the only problem that I see with it is the size. It's kind of small and thick, so, some times it's hard to appreciate things at the border of the pictures. Yeah! I know, with this kind of pictures, you're not looking for what is on the borders, but I like to be able to see a picture flat. But this is not too bad.

There really aren't many books that contain just a bunch of GREAT nudie picks from the fifties and sixties. Most of them out there are too small, and too sparse, with maybe one or two good pics, and pages and pages of nonsense. This book got it right. 350+ pages of HAWT fotos from the ghost of Kittens Past. I dig.
I dig even more than my copy of Playboys Redhead book... and that book is pretty hot.

This photo-book is without doubt, the finest collection of its kind that I have seen. A private peepshow of the highest quality. A must have.
