The study of astrology is based on the interaction of planets and constellations and their locations at the exact moment and place of an individual's birth. Much of popular astrology is based on the location of the sun and by necessity must be very general. Each astrological sign has gender and nature qualities as well. This work looks at the interaction of the sun and the moon. Linking her analyses to Jungian psychology and gender psychology, Rathgeb ( Success Signs , 1981) examines the 16 combinations of sun/moon signs. She also explores how the signs relate to one another. The analyses acknowledge the complex interactions of gender, sexual preference, and astrological analysis. This interesting book is a good addition to popular astrology and is recommended for collections where users are interested in the subject.

I've had this book for several years and I've used it to analyze my relationships and others. It's absolutely fascinating how on target the analysis is! It freaks people out.

I'm buying two more copies -- one to keep and one to lend -- because this is a book that won't be returned to you after you lend it.

It's also a great read for beginners in astrology. It helps you understand the four elements of the signs, earth, water, air, and fire, and the interplay of the sun and moon signs.

This was my first astrology book, and I learned a lot about myself and my friends & family. This book explains some of the more basic concepts (masculine/feminine, and fire/air/earth/water)of astrology in a way anyone can easily understand. I lent it out once, (to one of my best friends), and I haven't seen it since. It belongs on my bookshelf so I can refer to it.
