Let me start off the review with the following disclosures. I am not a believer in astrology. I do not consult charts, 900 phone numbers, or daily/weekly horoscopes prior to making everyday decisions. Despite all that, I at least found this book to be highly entertaining.

Each chapter of Sexual Astrology is devoted to an astrological sign and details the sexual proclivities of people born under that sign. It provides advice on making the first move, erogenous zones, and breaking it off. Finally, the chapter closes with a compatability index indicating the likelihood of a successful short-term and/or long-term relationship with people of other (or the same) signs.

I think my friends and I found this book to be entertaining because of the accuracy of the frank, graphic descriptions (e.g. down to specific deviant sexual acts). As a non-believer in astrology, I am not sure _why_ the predictions are so spot on, but they are. One theory I have is that we want to believe in the predictions so we fit the story of our lives to the description, but that is a psychological explanation way beyond the scope of this review.

In any case, this is fun book to read and definitely a conversation starter if you leave it lying on your coffee table or nightstand.

This is the Best Astrology book I have owned...several times... and the only one that never comes back to me. I do not suggest loaning this book to anyone. Make them buy it !

This book is astoundingly Accurate and Soooooo much fun to research (to see if it *really* measures up). I have owned this book for a long time and discussed it with numerous individuals and couples. Everyone seems to agree that it is very Accurate and amazingly easy to comprehend or use.

Most Astrology books are boring and unexplainable to "Non-Believers," but Sexual Astrology speaks for and proves itself.

The advice in this work is sound, and very helpful in relationship matters. This book will certainly help you work things out, in a Polygamous relationship ;)

This book is very accurate. Why that should be, I couldn't say. What is particularly helpful about it is that it gives a small paragraph about each sign's compatibility with every other sign, including the predicted outcome (such as "an enjoyable affair, but an unhappy marriage," or "an ardent affair, a lasting union"). It mentions why two people will fight, and whether or not they can overcome this. I never thought much of astrology until I read this book, but what especially convinced me is that it read like a road map of my parents' failed marriage. If only they had read this book!

As for myself, I thought I was doomed to romantic unhappiness after the example my parents set. Yet after 10 years of unsuccessful dating, I was finally able to recognize and connect with the man of my dreams because of the guidelines laid out in this book. It has also been helpful for understanding and getting along with my friends and co-workers.

Many people seem to grasp instinctively who their best matches are, and I am never surprised when I look up the compatibility of the happiest couples I know and find that they are a perfect match. But if you struggle in this department, and you need help figuring out what you need in a partner, this book is for you!

Disclaimer: although the sexual descriptions in this book are usually quite accurate, they are also very graphic. If such things make you uncomfortable, I recommend another book by the same author, "The Only Astrology Book You Will Ever Need." It also has information about romantic compatibility, but it is much more tastefully done.

I always rate this kind of book by first looking at myself. It's about 85%-90% on target. I started letting my friends read it and it seems pretty consistent that it is correct in 85%-90% of those who read it. Not a bad roadmap for the journey of relationships. If I had this book 6 years ago I would not have gotten married to my ex in the first place!

This is one of the first books that I have read on astrology that has been so close to home that it gave me the creeps. I was amazed at how exact this book was. It told a side of me that very few men have ever seen. I highly recommend this book for those who are either very intune to themselves or are willing to get intune and experiment.

This is an eerily accurate description of the sexual preferences and errogenous zones of those who allow themselves to be categorized by zodiac sign. I was stunned the first couple of times my friends or lovers discussed their likes/dislikes then turned to their sign & found their words in print! I found the text precise, easy to read, fast-paced and evocative.

A friend of mine had this book and I immediately bought one for myself after reading about my sign. All I can say is whoa! It not just general stuff you can read in any book or online. Some of the specific things are very accurate. Esp. the part about how to break up with someone of a certain sign! And compatibility? On the money!

Okay I bought this because I like Martine's other astrology book, "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need". And it truly is the only one. LOL Sexual Astrology is from the 70's when she was no doubt, at the beginning of her astrology quest. It's not a bad book, just outdated. Good thing I only paid 5 bux for it! lol

This female Capricorn is still blushing! I was startled to read a couple of the specifics (no, I do NOT bite), but give it an overall 90% accurate. The only "issue" I had was that the sign compatability sections weren't consistent. Cancer-Capricorn is different than Capricorn-Cancer, which seems a bit counterintuitive to me.

This is the only book I have had to buy over ten or eleven times. Everytime I let one of my friends borrow this book they always seem to have trouble getting it back to me. The accuracy of this publication is almost errie. Both myself and anyone I have let look at my copy have been amazed at the almost perfect description of our personalitys. Even if you don't believe in astrology, there are still plenty of good ideas in this book to help anyones sex life or relationship.
