Biography

Beck Hansen was born and raised in Los Angeles. As a teenager, Beck became immersed in traditional blues and folk. When he was 18, he moved to New York where he became part of the city's late 80's "anti-folk" scene, playing at various small clubs around the East Village and Lower East Side.

In the early 90's, he moved back to Los Angeles, and continued to write and perform music, sometimes alone… Read more in Amazon's Beck Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Becks world dominance continues., August 16, 2001

This review is from: Sexx Laws (Audio CD)
Though I did not care for the Malibu remix of Sexx Laws much, I am still giving this single 5 stars for the awesomeness contained within the song This Is My Crew, one of the funniest Beck songs since Soul Suckin' Jerk. Some people have been bad mouthing Beck's radical pop stylin' on Midnite Vultures, I think that these people probably take Beck and themselves way to seriously. My advice for listening to Beck and this single, just sit back and let the awesomeness flow. Peace Out.
