A consultant for the British TV hit Sex Tips for Girls, the London-based Everett offers a blunt, sassy guide full of (what else?) sex tips. The title characterization may be apt for the effects of her person, but in her manner, Everett is supportive and down to earth: "Having sex in water is largely overrated it just ends up with everyone suffering from stinging eyes, and all the natural lubrication is washed away in a torrent of apricot gel." Chapters cover Foreplay; Positions; Orgasm; Sex Toys; Adventurous Sex and three other realms, all road tested by "real couples." A lot of the book is geared toward working people who normally "stagger to bed so tired you're lucky if you can pick up a book, let alone each other's genitals." Many readers will recognize themselves in that description and respond to Everett's been-there, done-that straight talk.

This book is interesting. I don't know that I walked away after reading it, thinking "gee I feel like a sexy bitch now!" but more like "ok, some of that made sense". There are good tips in here and things that are pretty useful to know. If you are new to the world of asserting yourself and getting what you want, give this book a shot. If nothing else you will learn a few tips on how to be a little more aggressive!
