From the Back Cover

A fast-rising star among political pundits puts his comedic spin on the ironies and hypocrisies of politics in America. Sexy Brilliance is not another historical narrative, but more of an observational journey; an attempt to widen your perspective, and show what is happening today that continues to steal your imagination, dreams, and ambitions.

About the Author

Kevin Jackson is a fast-rising star among political pundits. A former management consultant, Jackson is now a nationally known speaker and radio show host, and has been called "the valedictorian of the graduating class of political pundits." Jackson's latest offering, Sexy Brilliance brings levity to the political discourse in this country. Jackson puts his comedic spin on what's happening in America, showcasing the ironies and hypocrisies of politics in America. Like his first book, The BIG Black Lie, Jackson has created another satirical political page-turner.

In his first book, Kevin shares his views and how his experiences shaped those views. In this follow-up, Kevin digs deeper into his views including in-depth analysis and interesting facts. He successfully balances his views, facts that justify his views as well as humor and wit. I found myself learning and laughing. The Whoopi Goldberg joke was my favorite. Unlike some political philosophy books, this book was properly paced without repeating itself and did not suffer from mundane over-analysis.

I read this book with an open mind, knowing very well that Kevin is a black conservative. What I love about this book is that I was educated and entertained at the same time. Kevin gives us his insight on the thinking of progressive liberals and he is DEAD ON! I would highly recommend reading this book, especially if you'd really like to know the real truth about Barack Obama.

We live in troubled times, as there are problems in our nation affecting everyone. Under these cicumstances,it is absolutely necessary to lighten up once in awhile and simply have a good laugh! We received a book as a gift which applies for this purpose.
Kevin Jackson's "Sexy Brilliance...and Other Political Lies" is educating, thought provoking, but written with a keen sense of humor. While addressing important current political and social issues, Mr. Jackson keeps the reader entertained. There are few books that make one laugh out loud, but we would not recommend reading this book in designated "quiet areas"!
We highly recommend this book as a fresh perspective on our political scene from a knowledgeable and respected politcal activist/humorist author.

I bought this book to support the author, whose blog (TheBlackSphere.com) I love. Sometimes when I buy a book by a blogger I'm disappointed because the content either is just a rehash of what was already on the blog or isn't as good as the blog, but I was very happy to find Sexy Brilliance is every bit as insightful and entertaining as the blog. I hope to see bigger and bigger things from Mr. Jackson. He is a clever voice talking about the big lie that is liberal policy and it's damaging effects on our country at large. He is not afraid to be a minority conservative, but he doesn't play on his minority status, instead he is interested in an honest conversation about the state of society.

Kevin is a young, conservative black man perfectly comfortable in his skin. I suppose he would have to be given how the left in our country want us to think; A. such people don't exist or B. those that do are just a mirage, or Uncle Tom's or "white thinking" blacks and other racially derogatory terms. Depending on your world view, you will look at the title and make assumptions about the content, well, I sure did. Guess what? I was very surprised that despite the very real criticism of the left, Mr. Jackson has some not so comfortable words for the right, the Republican party in particular. As the party of Lincoln was the party that emancipated the slaves, supported the civil rights act of 1960, the Democrats were the party of racism, eugenics, and government handouts from the time of the great depression until today. Kevin highlights the fact that Blacks in the 1950's were revered by whites as the hardest working people, with intact families, responsible fathers and low crime. The liberals, to date have been slowly destroying the black family, by encouraging promiscuity, abortion, single parenthood and overall dependency on government handouts and as a result crime is rampant, education is not valued, out of wedlock births are at an all time high and the crime of abortion is rampant in their communities, yet blacks still look to the same tired old democrats who keep handing them free money as long as they continue to elect them. Even though the first Black Representatives were Republicans, since the late 1960's the white Democrats managed to buy out the black vote by getting Black sellouts to run in black majority districts. "What should be most disturbing to Democrats is that black conservative candidates were for the most part not running in gerrymandered districts with heavy black populations.Read more ›

Loved this book. Kevin is not afraid to skewer the Left and not afraid to show the faults of the Right, either. If only the public would open their eyes, read books such as this one, embrace new ideas...we can work together to save this nation! Wonderful book.

Kevin pulls off another EXCELLENT book with Sexy Brilliance...and Other political lies. I've got the Kindle version and plan on buying print copies for my friends like I did with The BIG Black Lie. You can tell it's hitting home, we've got some proggies here in the review section giving intellectually dishonest reviews, WELL WE KNOW BETTER! The proggies just can't stand it when a black man thinks himself off the Democrat plantation. Rock on Kevin, can't wait for the next book
