Anthologies have hits and misses but by and large this book is a good find, especially at some of the lower prices it's going for. It's always fun to see what Jill Thompson is doing outside of the Vertigo Universe, this time with no words. Trina Robbins writing a manga is a great surprise (Trina, please write more comics, please) with a girl detective story that I just might buy for anyone I know if it was expanded on. The greatest work is from Alexa Kitchen where the world finaly gets to understand the point of view of an eight year old girl that draws better and understands the modes of comics better than most "cartoonists" three times her age and some that work for the big two. Most importantly thought, this sheds light on one of the two most looked over and groups in comics, the women. There should be more books like it.

Very mediocre book on women artists;badly written,badly researched,obviously a book thrown together to make money off their past notoriety(?) and not well written.Dull.
